<DIV>I have read through quite a few posts here and was thinking about trying troubador in PvP.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I've got a 34 Troubador on Antonia Bayle PvE server and have had alot of fun so far with it but it is depressing when most of what I hear about higher lvl Troubador in PvE is typically only as a buffbot for raids and such.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Certainly I am sure I would have alot of fun with it till I hit that point but now that I know what my fate is to be in PvE I may not continue on with it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Pvp on the other hand seemed like it could be worth a try so I come onto the forums to read up before I start only to find out that the prognosis is that although extreme dedication can allow you to go very far.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>We still are classified as pretty [Removed for Content] and almost not worth playing unless you are fairly hardcore and can afford the best gear and spells just to barely stay afloat.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So I guess until the Devs come up with a plan to take us out of "Gimped" status in the next update or two guess I will have to play a cookie cutter class just to feel like I am on an even playing field.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Naudia Gimpsong signing out.</DIV>

<DIV>Wow, troubs are so gimped that people whine about how bad they are in pvp before even rolling them!!!</DIV>

<DIV>I was trying to understand what you said but all I got was what seemed like either sarcasm or irony out of that statement.</DIV>

<P>OKay well managed to start the Troubador as a dwarf and I have only made it to town.</P> <P>I am guessing I will soon be somebodies biznatch soon and be running from Bubba.</P> <P> </P> <P>Just hoping I can be at least sneaky enough to backstab a few softies.</P> <P> </P> <P> </P>

Its easy at first you start out tough. People catch up by 20. At 25 your dps is lower than average scout and will be more, and more so from here on out. Dreadnaught Dankshasta of Blood Sworn

Its important when your pvping to realize that you dont have the standard scout dps, like dank said, especially at higher levels.  Bards are a utility class and you need to use your utility.  I have noticed , especially as i leveled, that i let alot of my utility and stuff that i deemed not important, like ... my dot for example i never really kept it Adept 3, it just sat on some obscure hotbar, but you need to use everything you have to maximize the dps you are given.  Troubs can solo pvp, much easier at lower levels but you just need to pick your fights.  There are some fights where you probably will not win, and you need to start identifying buffs on your enemy to determine his class and your ability to kill him in that situation, no point in dying for nothing.<div></div>
