its a prefix title. get it by doing something that i would never think a troub would be able (or willing to spend the time) to do.congratz<div></div>

<div></div>Gratz on dreadnaught but your not the first qeynosion dreadnaught by a long shot and nafagen even has a master dirge on the qeynos side.  I think we have about 7 or 8 masters already.  gratz on first troub dreadnaught.<div></div><p>Message Edited by SeregWethrin on <span class=date_text>08-11-2006</span> <span class=time_text>01:20 PM</span>

<DIV>Grats on dreadnaught.  Its tough to get as a troub.  Unfortunately you are not to first troub to be a dreadnaught.  I (Jester) was a dreadnaught back before exile came out.  I went exile and had my title reset. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Grats anyhow. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Jester</DIV> <DIV>Officer of Havoc</DIV>

I got Dreadnaught on Venekor some three or four months ago, give or take. I think at the time there weren't any masters at all (at least on Venekor) and broke some sort of unspoken rule. Troubadours aren't as bad as they seem to be on PVP, but they absolutely cannot hold themselves in solo PVP.<div></div>

<DIV>Troubs are fine in group pvp, they are really useful with charm/mez and buffs.  </DIV> <DIV><BR>Solo pvp is completely different.  I do good in solo pvp assuming I can keep them snared/mezzed/charmed the entire fight.</DIV> <DIV>As soon as a brig or bruiser gets within melee range, game over. </DIV> <DIV>Healers?  I dont even bother giving it a shot 1v1.  No way I can outdps heals.  </DIV> <DIV>Tanks?  If they have decent gear it would take forever to kill one.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I basically have full fabled gear and all master spells and I still am subpar in pvp.  I wouldnt want to be a hardcore pvper unless I could manage to get fully twinked.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So getting dreadnaught is quite an accomplishment as a troub.  Getting master will be amazing.  GL Dank im sure you will get master way before me.  I gave up on pvping on my main a long time ago.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Jester</DIV> <DIV>Officer of Havoc</DIV>

Grats on Dread Dark.  I hope to see Master by your name one day.  Any bard that can get Dreadnaught/Master title is an achievment worth gloating about.  <div></div>

<blockquote><hr>rogerdeuce wrote:<P>grats, does this give you added stats and/or abilities too? or just a name?</P><P> </P><hr></blockquote>Well I exiled three weeks ago, and got my Dreadnaught in Freeport as well. So I finally have a first over Jester!! First Troubador to get to Dreadnaught with two different Factions?? I dont know but I am happy to get it back. In case anybody is wondering. IT IS ALOT EASIER TO GET DREADNAUGHT AS A FREEPORT!! Like it aint even close! When I was in Qeynos, I was the only Dreadnaught Troubador, and that title was very hard to get. It takes me alittle longer to kill a a target than a swashy (for real, I promise) Also there are freeps EVERYWHERE!! Don't get me wrong, it still represents alot of good pvp. I just want everybody to know before they even ask, YES IT IS ALITTLE EASIER IN FREEPORT!!Dankshasta Dreadnaught of Electric Ladyland

The title system as is is complete garbage.... here's a brief description. The PvP "ranks" are Hunter, Slayer, Destroyer, Champion, Dreadnaught and Master. You receive points towards ranking up by killing a person of +/-1 to your current rank... i.e. a Champion gets rank points (named differently based on your home city) for killing Destroyers, Champions and Dreadnaughts. He gains/loses nothing in the ranking department for killing or dying to a Master, Slayer, or Hunter. This is no indictment of Dankshasta's PvP abilities as I've never fought him and don't think he's up to T7 yet. Now, EQ2 PvP is really a gankers game. Certainly, a good PvPer can achieve a good rank, but a good rank does not make one a good PvPer. Assassins, for example, can decap/evac their way to a Master title. It is, however, more complicated for a low dps class like Troubadors. Simply put, Troubadors are extremely weak solo PvPers against all but a few classes and even for those few classes, the opposition must be simply stupid enough to let you snare kite them. Playing a near fully Mastered T7 Troubador currently is frustrating. A green twinked brigand will force you to run given the state of spell resistability. You can't run solo or you're asking for trouble. In a group or raid PvP setting, Troubadors are indeed very capable group members. Snare, Mez and Charm (assuming you get lucky enough to land with your mental debuff and max subjugation) are very potent group weapons. Precision of the Maestro can add significant DPS to casters in a PvP group setting. Our casting skills buff, haste, str/sta, Aria's and our elemental/arcane resistance songs are all extremely nice additions to the PvP repitoire.<div></div>
