quick followup,Is the troubs run song, faster than the carpet or any horse you can get? Or has it become a situation where... anyone in the game can travel fast (carpet, horse, potion, or natural spell ability)?

The fastest Troubador run song provides 34% run speed. There are mounts available in-game that provide 48% run speed.

Bards can increase their group run-speed over the 34% (Selo's) by spending Achievement Points on the Wisdom path (Harbinger's Sonnet). Each AP spent on Harbinger's Sonnet raises group run-speed by 1.5%.

ok...TY for the information... I remember in EQ1 bards ruled the day with how fast they could run (at least in the early days) was wondering if it was similar in EQ2.thanks again.

and don't forget that the legendary journeyman boots (heritage quest, wearable at 42) add 10% to your run speed and it does stack with your run speed buffs.

Max constant runspeed: 34% selos +10% jboots + 12% AA maxed = 56%

Remember as well, the AA boost is in-combat. So its of value to pullers on the way back. The bards can still pretty much rule the roost on constant runspeed, the Pact of the Cheetah (Druid) is the fastest runspeed buff. I believe its in-combat and is well over 50% (68?) but has a relatively short duration and long recast.

In the groups I am in as a 70 dirge with the aa runspeed buffs, people often keep their j-boots handy for the full runspeed advantage.

Message Edited by Krescendo on 07-26-2006 08:09 AM

The next expansion will have 58% mounts, so I hope they give us another upgrade to selo's.
