Haven't played my troubadour since the update. Not particularly boycotting him, but alts seem more fun atm.

Good luck. I considered doing the same...Though only level 59, Troubador is what I always wanted to play in EQ2. Mez and charm. The closest I could get to my old DAoC Minstrel; charm a humanoid and go out soloing. I could (in the old days) take on group mobs myself, solo, if I didn't mind dying a few times figuring it out. I wanted to try that here on EQ2, and I could, until Live Update 24.I don't leave a buff slot open for charm, and rarely bother to mez. Heading down to Naggy for Speaks As A Dragon last night, the swashbuckler was mezzing as good as I could. At least I can still run very fast! But anyway. I'm not going to switch to dirge. Grass is always greener... too old to learn new tricks and too poor to afford to buy new spells... raid I was in had two dirges but I, the only troub. I'll just be a little more unique, and that can't be too bad <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

<DIV>I only play my troubador on raids now. Before LU24, I played him 6 hours a night not including raids but half the time I am struggling to stay awake. Don't get me wrong, I love to raid but the contribution other than agro debuff for casters now is even smaller. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Too bad Sony bought Vanguard or I would look into playing that when it comes out. SoE did not buy Sigil's Vanguard:Saga of Heros, what happened is Sigil purchased the publicishing rights back from Microsoft and aproched SoE to provide billing and sever hosting.   SoE will provide server hosting, and billing hosting.   Other than that and limited to those things SoE will NOT have any part in Vanguard.   So Sigil still owns full control of Vanguard with out any fear of SoE meddling. <div></div>

Once you pick your trainer and finalize it, all your spells will go back to App 1. (Execpt for Zanders for some reason, mine stayed at Adept III)(And you wont get any 50+ spells because you have to buy them) <div></div>

I want to keep my lev 38 troub (AB).  I just want charm back, it was useful and fun.  I might consider betray but I will lose my house.  Sony if you want to kill off the troubs, then let us keep the house and you can get the numbers down even more.  Sony, please lets meet in the middle, charm was 2 or 3 minutes now its what 14 seconds.  How about 1:30 seconds? For now, my main is a ranger on another server (BB).<div></div>

the charm as it is now is useful in groups . if you get an add you can turn it into help for you even if its for a short time .. and after that mez it or kill it .

Swashbucklers and bruisers are better crowd control than we are before 50.
