Crowd control refers to any ability abilty that prevents or limits the mobs ability to attack or cast spells. Mez, Charm, Root, Fear, Stun are all part of CC. Pre-LU24 as a troubador your 2 big CC spells are charm and mez (lullaby(50) or reverie (70). Neither of these spells are nearly as effective anymore however. Mez is flat out resisted by 90% of the mobs in KOS.

I would focus on Chain armor with INT/STR being your stats of choice.

WIS AA line is obvious choice for raiding troubador.

Having said all this if your interests are outside of raiding (i.e. soloing or grouping) the Troubador is not a very fun class anymore. They still have their uses in raids but good luck grinding to 70.

You don't get the spell until level 50 (and the upgrade, Reverie at level 70) so you don't have to worry about it for a while. It's besically a stun that breaks upon damage.Crowd control, for Troubadors, is Mez and (to a lesser extent now) charm. In general, it's any ability that can effectively remove a mob from combat (either temporarily or permanently).Gear/stats: You don't HAVE to focus on any particular stat. If you're concerned with your own dps, INT and STR would be the primary stats. If you want to focus on surviving AEs or direct attacks, skew your stats toward STA, AGI and/or WIS (for resists). All other things being equal, go with the highest mitigation armor you can wear. Of course, if you find a piece of leather or even cloth that you really like (and you trust your tank and other groupmates implicitly), no one's stopping you from using it.AAs: I wouldn't even worry about them for a long while, but no I wouldn't say that the WIS line is the best for a group. Especially not while still levelling. DKtM is nice, but every other skill in the line is fluff, and not useful in combat while levelling. If you really want DKtM, I'd put your points in something else while levelling up and gaining AAs (anything else, really -- STR, STA, AGI and even INT would be more useful while levelling up), then, once you have enough AAs for DKtM just respec completely to buy it.
