Kian's Anthems...

I recently picked up 'Kian's Destructive Anthem' and am liking it enough that a master version is seeming very attractive to me. However, I've been playing solo since I've gotten it and havent had a decent chance to really give it a workout in a group setting.So my question is this. Exactly how much hell can I expect to be brought down upon my head running this from an aggro standpoint? Especially in a Master version? Is our Alin's line enough to keep it in line with a halfway decent tank? Or will using it in a group be like hitting a 'kill me' button? If I had my Swashbuckler's hate transfer, I wouldnt be too worried.Anyone have tips on using this one safely? Am I worrying too much? Should I stay clear of it? Any advice that would keep me from getting becoming an aggro in-joke like I see happen to most trigger happy Sorcerer types would be welcome. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<P>Well, it's actually a very weak DoT and it tics slowly.  You can use it after a single taunt from the fighter without fear of getting aggro.</P> <P> </P>

Heh Well I'm talking early 30s here, and that the master version nearly doubles in damage. Obviously I'm not worried about stealing single target aggro, more the rest of the encounter if the Tank is less than quick with his encounter taunt. Its kind of been my experience that groups around that level range tend to be overconfident and sloppy because they've got some higher level alt in some unrelated class than the one they're playing. Kian's is a very weak AE DoT. A level 22 Wizard DoT does more damage and does it more often than our level 60 DoT. Its debuff aspect is rather weak too, to be honest. Its best use is to trigger AE Precision of the Maestro procs.

its usually one of the first things i always cast and i want it to always be up. i should have a extra hit a the end like enchanters imo though <div></div>
