For the longest time I believed that intelligence was the key to damage for most of my CAs, but I finally checked this myself and guess what? I hardly saw any difference! I took off both my ruby intelligence rings and barely any CA was affected. In fact, removing strength gear affected many more CAs (and more significantly) than did intelligence. Has this been anybody else's experience? Have I been incorrect this entire time?

Don't be fooled by the mental damage, the CA's are all increased by raising your strength. Using your snare/mental debuff will still increase the damage you do on the mob tho.

Strength affects CA's, Intelligence affects spells. Not sure which abilities you're using but there are slightly more spells.CA's - Sandra's Bewildering Incursion, Dancing Blade, Noble BladeSpells - Perfect Shrill, Eli's Thunderous Drumming, Steal Essence, Kian's Catastrophic Anthem, Alin's Incandescent ConcordCan't recall which Clara's Midnight Tempo falls intoSo which do you favour? Get yourself a combat parser and find out.Ideally you just want to push both Str and Int as close to the cap as possible. Raiding I easily hit the Str cap, Int cap is harder unless I happen to get a fury in my group and they're willing to put their single target int buff on me

kians and aria benefit from int and i use these two alot in raids. these are always capped in raids too so I might boost agi in raids for the power pool.

when soloin i usually run quirons instead of bria so like having the high int for the power pool, currently str int and agi all over 400, trying to figyure out how to get all 3 over 500 self buffed

You can examine your spell after equipping or unequipping an item with a +STR or +INT bonus to see the effect that the increase or decrease of STR and INT has on your combat art or spell. In my opinion, INT isn't as important as some make it out to be, but it is definitely helpful, and certainly it is worthwhile to boost it as high as you can. Our self buff and other class buffs (Fury, Mages) make getting it very high easy though.

They're changing potions in LU24 so you may want to hold off until then though.
Message Edited by Jooneau on 06-09-2006 01:27 AM

I use food now and then as its longer lasting. havent seen any situations where having an xtra whatever in stats for 30 mins is gonna make or break anything. for 5.5 hrs even. whats sad is i even got a 66 prov and still use the non stat short duration foods. i keep thinking if i step away from the pc for a few hours i just wasted my food so usualy carry around the 40 min - 1 hr stuff.

are they revamping how our stats work in LU24?
