I thought I should point tis out now that RoR is getting some attention and being worked on. The effect on the Quynos Guard is better than our RoR spell. Why? If you look at the img below you will see while the chance of proc is only 5% and it reflect 50% of the spell, this last for 3 min! When casting from mobs is few and far between 3 min means it WILL refect something. The current 30 second duration of RoR on test will has a high chance of doing nothing....

If you are not aware RoR hs been changed and now looks more like the dirge version, for information reguarding what it looks like on test go here. http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=36&message.id=8922

Message Edited by Belisarius on 06-07-2006 10:03 AM

The Qeynos Guard is not better than the change to Requim of Reflection at all. The Qeynos Guard has a 5% chance to trigger when you are damaged with a Spell(not just any damage), then it will only reflect a single profession spell if they are hit within 3 minutes after it triggers(it has to trigger first). Whereas with the new change to Requim of Reflection, at M1 when you are damaged you have a 12% chance to trigger the ability to reflect profession spells or absorb non-profession spells. Considering most mobs where this could be useful have AEs that are on a timer around 45 seconds, if this goes off on the tank from normal damage, then the AE goes off, wow look at that, the AE just got absorbed, the healers just got saved 4000 points of healing required because the AE was absorbed.

I wish the proc on the cutlass was better than Turnstrike.

Hmm, so if the new RoR procs off of physical damage, I wonder how good troub/dirge combo in MT would be. Would be cool to experiment with at least.

RoR only gets triggered by any NON physical damage. So the 30 seconds shield usually withers away without doing anything. I tested it a bit and it reflected once for me in 10 minutes fighting casting mobs like the corpscandles (experienced no absorption). Havent done extensive testing but its not yet worth a slot in my repetoire.

It'd be such a simple fix to just make it a straight % chance at relecting a spell, not all this triggering the reflect buff stuff.
