bard's luck (the AA opener) is next to useless. replace it with coin toss (the final int AA) and coin toss with a recast timer reducing buff.allegro is all nice, but has two downers:- aria's chance to proc depends on cast time, so you're basically shooting in your own foot with allegro- the reduction is extremly lowproposed change:- enhance the cast time reduction to like 2% per point- exclude the reduced casting time from allegro from the formula that calculates procs
Message Edited by thorvang on 05-20-2006 02:14 PM

the formula that calculates procs DOES ignore spells that effect casting times...

I'd actually like to see lines dedicated for caster buffs and melee buffs. The current Int line can be modified to make it totally caster friendly. The haste improvement AA and coin toss can be replaced by a power reduction ability as well as a recast timer (not just a cast timer) reduction. Which wizzie wouldn't love to be able to nova more often?

Our Str line can be modified for melee abilities. This would give some love to our dirge brothers too. The haste/dps mod ability can be placed here instead of the stats buff ability. That particular ability can be placed in the wisdom line instead of that horrible ranged/aggro dump ability we get.

Also wouldn't mind the AA opener being changed to a swarm pet ability or something. Call them groupies/rabid fans/stalkers/whatever. The slight boost to DPS would be much appreciated in solo play now that we can't rely on our CC ability anymore.

Message Edited by reaper_man on 05-22-2006 11:55 AM

Our class shout NOT be balanced using AA's. not everyone is going down the same lines. It would be screwing everyone into carbon copys of each other. NO thanks. SoE continues to make it easier to leave for new games. period.

I'd like to see an AA that increases the amount resists songs give. So instead of 1k which is simply made up with 1 piece of gear now and players can cap so easily with specific resist gear, having an AA that increases the resist amount will allow players to use better gear for stats dmg etc.

I would also like to see the Intercede AA we got on beta, since that is much more useful than the last in the agi and int lines. We would die from the intercept but who cares, we only need to be rezzed to take the fall again ^_~

How bout an aa that increases mana and hp regen per ticks, the 41/46 for t7 is a little lame still.

Or how bout one that actually makes run speed better than 46% In eq1 bards were the fastest speed... thats the way it should remain. Even if we are only good at running and movement why not let us enjoy it by giving back that 70% runspeed =)

Increased runspeed will help you /follow faster. Too bad you won't be there to enjoy the benefits.

Here's my useless ideas:STASta 2: Shielding SonnetBuff that increases the Skald's group's max health and mitigation. Requires 1 conc slot. (Roundshield must be equipped)Sta 3: <Insert name here>Increases the Skald's chance to block with a shield. (Typical 1 rank: 1% ratio)Sta 4: Skald's CadenzaGroup buffs that increase advoidance have their values increased. (Roundshield must be equipped)Sta 5: Skald's FocusThe Skald is immune to most stun/interrupt effects. (Roundshield must be equipped) *Not sure about this one honestly.AGIAgi 2: BumpSame old thing, place in stealth, chance to pickpocket. Good idea here.Agi 3: Wayfarer's WatchSame deal +parry. Good one here again.Agi 4: Wayfarer's ConcoctionSingle target buff increases power and health regen in combat. 3 minute buff. 5(?) minute recast.Agi 5: Disappearing ActShort duration group stealth/feign death. 70% chance (Ineffective against Epics). Roots the group and places in stealth. (Basically a group FD, but instead of falling down, everyone goes into stealth). 30m recast, 1m duration.WISWis 2: Harmonizing ShotSame deal as current.Wis 3: Soft MelodyGroup buffs which increase resists have their values increasedWis 4: AllegroSame deal as currentWis 5: Harbringer's Concentration+1 Conc slotINTInt 2: Rythm bladeSame deal here, nothing new.Int 3: FermataTypical root. Duration increased at higher ranksInt 4: Moonlight Reqium Increases Crit chances on all spells (Heals+Nukes)Int 5: ConcertoStifles and Pacifies the caster. Every 2 seconds casts "Obbligato" on target of attack. Deals undetermined amount of damage. Increases hate gain. (See Hail of Steel [Swashbuckler], or Stream of Arrows [Ranger] if you don't understand).STRStr 2: TurnstrikeSame deal here, nothing newStr 3: PrestoSongs that increase Haste or DPS have their values increasedStr 4: Accent BladeIncreases Melee+CA critical hit chanceStr 5: BladedanceSame deal as current.
Message Edited by Keyh on 05-25-2006 04:03 PM

Message Edited by Keyh on 05-25-2006 04:19 PM
All finished, mainly this is what it is:STA - All about defense. Taking hits and not getting hitAGI - I have no idea, but the original one didn't make sense eitherWIS - More towards healers (but casters benefit equally as well) for allegro. Resists as wellINT - Geared towards casting and casters. The last one would be nice for raids, no jousting.STR - Geared towards long term damage and AoE immunity. Again good for raids.

Best AA additions:

Autofollow that allows others to target you and tell you to follow

Autofollow that works up and down walls

Autofollow that works to automaticly zone you in with your paired partner

Autoactivate the rez accept button - and then allow others to re-partner (make you auto follow)

I think that should about do it.

It will be the only way any Troubadors will be in the game after the next patch.

Big fix would make it so you could have the weapon type you need in either primary or secondary. Sucks not being able to use multiple nice CA's without flip flopping weapons around constantly.
