From the, "We got Nerfed. Again." Thread:

Sileas wrote:I heard from a guildie that debuffs now break mez on test. Anyone know if there's truth to this?

So I tested it. Our mez can be broken by all of our debuffs. Guviena's, Discante, Bellow and Lore's. :smileysad: :smileysad: :smileysad: :smileysad:

Makes sense. We were so overpowered before... That's why everyone plays Troubadors.

Omgooses that is just... just... the mezz is virtually useless, yet we keep it and won't get a replacement or fix. No, we even loose the aspect of playing with some tactics and being versatile. We get nerfed to oblivion in regards of solobility. God damnit Devs get a grip!

Is it only our mez that breaks with debuffs? Or do our debuffs break enchanter mezzes, too?

My understanding is that any debuffs (considered hostile) will break any mez.

If true, that's ... disappointing, since most of our debuffs are encounter-based. Gives us even less to do for encounters that require mezzing. (It really does turn us into afk buffbots).

Sanju wrote:Is it only our mez that breaks with debuffs? Whereas right now, they only break on damage. While it may not be the Troubador mez, here's the picture of the updated Illusionist mez:As you can see at the bottom, it states breaks on Hostile Action, whereas before it was always breaks on damage. Basically making mesmerize pointless to pre-debuff a mob now.

At the very least remove taunt from that list.

Prevents AOE - it shouldn't break it unless you cast directly on a mezzed mob.

I imagine they're referring to the fact that previously the long lasting mezzes would not be broken by debuffs unless there was direct damage associated with it. Not certain if enchanters had that or not...

sorry - just reread it and i was wrong. But that is an issue also being discussed

Message Edited by Jaimster on 05-15-2006 04:10 PM

Aye, I believe Vinter/Scafloc has it, we will still be able to debuff the remainder of the encounter as per usual. We'll simply have to wait out the 20 sec duration - heh - to debuff the mezzed one. Really this isn't too big of a deal, at least to me. However I see where you all are coming from. To me its still the reduced duration that are hurting with both Mezz and Charm. LOL anything else they take away after the fact in relation to crowd control is meaningless now that these timers have made both spells so [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] useless. I guess what I am getting at is after the initial damage done is so severe, subsequent tremors if you will simply bounce off of me at this point. :smileytongue:

Aredisil Fayrunner, 70 Troubador on AB
