I cant decide which to make. I'm coming back after a year and wondered which would be more fun for me and my wife (who will be playing a Warden). I want fun. I want to be group oriented and be able to solo well. I also want to have the least amount of broken spells if possible. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

More fun - judgment call, no one can tell you which one will be more fun

group oriented - Dirges are more melee friendly and Troubs are more caster friendly, but both are very group oriented afaik

solo ability - At this risk of starting a flame war, neither is especially know to be able to solo well (though in my personal opinion, Troubs can hold their own. Not sure about Dirges as I've never played one)

broken spells - debatable as well, I've seen claims that 1) Troubadour dps is not where it should be 2) Troubadour health/mana regen was broken recently 3) anything I'm leaving out... Though once again I haven't really had a problem in my personal experience with any of these things

Worth note - If you wife will be playing a Warden, I would think a Troubadour would be a better match as they are more caster friendly though a dirge may be better for her pet/shape shifted forms... you may get better luck asking a question like that in the Warden as I have very little experience with the class (I think I've only grouped w/ a Warden once actually, and that was very low lvls)

On a personal note, I love my Troubadour... but I think Dirges kinda *look* cooler for what it's worth :smileysad:
