What is best paired with a monk?

<div>My brother is starting a monk. I wanted to play either a dirge or troub, but since there are fewer troubs on venekor, I decided to go with that. I know that dirges are better paired with melees, but will a troub still bring a lot to the duo? How about haste issues? Will we run into issues where my haste is useless b/c it doesn't stack with the monk haste properly. I'm new to EQ2, so I don't know a lot about the mechanics in this game. This is on the pvp server, btw. Thanks for any advice!</div>

A dirge would be alot better. Troubs still have hastes that work fine when stacking, as well as health regen. Later on Dirges get CoB though which grants haste and a 100+ damage proc for every hit.

My troub groups with a brusier and a Fury .We have grouped for a good 25 levels at least, and we make a kick [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] team.every once in a while we will bring in a warlock  or a wiz, but very seldom.the str /agi buff is loved by the bruiser.<div></div>

I thought Troubs get Sta and dirge got Agi

id go for dirge , too but trouby will work fine . you do a lot of damage yourself as a trouby and you can buff his avoidance quite well and STR +STA help him too . power regen will help him for his CA's and well ... id say aria + selfbuff so you kick [Removed for Content] .

Both dirge and troubs have teir strong poitns with monks.   Dirges add a DPS mod and monks can max their haste at higher level but troubs have mezz.  I would recomend playing the class you think you would enjoy more.  Btw there are more troubs than dirges so masters for dirges tend to be easyer to get at lest on my server. <div></div>
