Intelligence line is good thanks to Minstrel's Melody and Minstrel's Aura.Strength line is good thanks to Bladeturn and Bladesing.Even Wisdom is good thanks to Allegro (group version of Jester's Hat).I don't see much use raid-wise out of Sta/Agi. Those are more personal in my opinion.<div></div>

Allegro is pretty useless. We're talking tenths of a second. It's needs help before it's viable.Strength looks best for raiding. I'll be going down wis and str myself.<div></div>

For bladesing, what 'attributes' does it increase? Stats such as str, int, wis, etc; resists; or things like ministration, focus, etc? Or all?I'm a noob to this troub thing, all I ever did on my old wizzie was sit back and nuke. <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

<div></div><p>Greetings Sunjaguar,</p><p>In my opinion, the only AA thats the most useful for raid would be that of the wisdom line. Not for allegro (Which isn't a group version of jester's cap btw, since it reduces recast and not cast time, It is also a whole lot more useful than allegro <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />) but for the "Don't kill the messenger" skill, which is overcosted but the skill that has the most use in a group. It adds 7.5% to all crits (spells ranged melee and heals) which while isn't very strong by itself, the skill stacks with other members in your group making them more effective.</p><p>The rest of the line in my opinion are pretty much optional. I'm usually in a pure mage group so i have not much use for the blade sing skill. (and 30s duration + 10 min recast makes that a very situational spell). The 2nd tier of the the str line seems like a pretty useful spell to have though. I've personally gone up the entire wisdom line and dabbled in the other lines for skills that i might need in a raid. Abit of strength for the personal AoE immunity, abit of sta for the stun (which i use while soloing or when PvPing for fun).</p><p>So my advice is, take the wisdom line, and then depending on the role you play in a raid, take the other lines that will help you do better in that role or take lines that can help shore up your weaknesses. The joys of having mediocre AAs is that we can have rather different troubadors running around. A little variety is always nice <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p> </p>
I like the wisdom line also. Dont kill the messenger is a great buff, and its passive so your entire group is benefiting from it at all times. The extra ranged attack in the wisdom line is also very nice for when you are sitting back with the mages, or trying to joust the next AE.I also raise Bump in the agility line so I can chain my stealth attack right after. This isnt the best raid skill but its a nice boost to melee dps. When I get some spare points I plan to raise intellegence as well.Kwix<div></div>

I've got my WIS and STR lines maxed out, with 4 in everything, and 5 in bladesing. Allegro is about 3.4%, and my Raxxyls at M1 is buffing 104strsta. BladeDance actually works very well, and does exactly what they say it does. The int line is crap, you don't need to improve dove song, and every point spent in the haste\dps buff is 1% a rank, not very worth it especially with such a horrible end.<div></div>

Ive gone with the wis and str line myself. DKTM is a pretty easy choice and most Bards took it from the start. The increased crit % is something anyone in your group will love. The other abilitys in the line are some what useless but you take them for the end line. The str line was actually the first line i completed. Alot of bards hate on bladedance because of the 10 minute recat(7 with J.cap.) Why this seems like a huge recast it is always up for the fights i truely need it on. I spend most my time in the nerdheard. You can cap your resist out all you want but mages just dont have the Hp to take multiple AEs. I try to use it on the second round of AEs witch does a great job of giving the groups healer enough time to catch up and keeps the nukers nuking when dealing with stun/stiffle aes. The line offers othe nice abilitys like the personal 10 second ae avoid and the increase to are group stat buff. I wish the stat one affected are personal buff but its till a nice ability( i even dropped my extra point into this one-5points =104 str/sta at master 1 ) I'm not really comcerned about my personal dps so i avoided the sta and agi lines. I would like to see how much dps double attack+poison proc would add . If i was not a full time raider i probally would have taken these 2 hands down. If i were lvling up still id probally take them untill i was at cap and use my free respec or paid one to change it when i started raiding. Soloing or small grouping can be a pain in the butt when playing a support class.Dam i need a new sig<div></div>

<div></div><div>Like most troubs, I took Wisdom to the end, putting as few points as possible into it. I'm also taking agi down to poison, then str to turnstrike.</div>

<div></div>I ended up giving in when I hit 70 last night and swapping my agility points over to max out Wisdom to DKTM. It's just so darn nice, and not just in raids, but everywhere. Allegro and Harbinger's are just gravy, albeit very, very watery gravy. I was seriously loathe to give up the 8 points in parry bonus I'd levelled up with lovingly, but really, what's 45% vs. 50% avoid for us in most sitches? I do plan to pump agi a bit more anyway to get back bump, which I love to chain into steatlh attack and then maybe some str, a lot like what is being repeated above. =)<div></div><p>Message Edited by Straygatsby on <span class="date_text">04-05-2006</span><span class="time_text">03:09 PM</span></p>
