<div>Heya fellow troubadors,</div><div> </div><div>I not sure if anyone else has noticed this, a few days ago (possibly before LU21 i can't be sure though... <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> ), i was able to mezz ^^^ named mobs (specifically carniovingan 71^^^ and the earthlord 67^^^). Both heroic named mobs.</div><div> </div><div>However, just yesterday, my friends and i were just adventuring around the bonemire when we got an add from the carniovingan, having mezzed him before, since handling adds is usually my job, i promtly attempted to mezz it while the others continued fighting. The mezz wasn't resisted, but apparently the named is now immune to mezzes? It proceeded to kill me and the healer and made quick work of my other friend... alas.</div><div> </div><div>Just to make sure it wasn't just a fluke, i tried it again, this time my friends were fighting while i just attempted to throw a mezz on it to see if it would stick. Well, it didn't. I tried it on another named (Earthlord) and the same thing. Seems that they might have made a few more (i'm not sure if its a change to heroic names in general) Mobs immune to mezz. I tried it with both my mezzes, level 50 lullaby and the level 70 umm.. i can't remember the name. It doesn't even show that the mob is too powerful, the spell casts, hits the mob, and the immune word pops up. the mob will then proceed to pound the living hell out of the poor troub <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div><div> </div><div>Doesn't this make an already rather limited spell .. well.. even more limited? Now we can't use it on epics, not all named mobs can be mezzed anymore. We used to be able to save a group from a wipe if an add comes along, now if that add is a named we won't be able to do anything about it? While this change might not affect every named, this is bad enough since we won't really find out which mobs can or can't be mezzed till its too late. So we're left with just mezzing normal mobs. Granted the spell is not completely useless, but it is certainly alot less useful than before.</div><div> </div><div>Anyone else notice any changes to mobs that can or cannot be mezzed anymore? And if this change is intended to be a permanent, do we get anything nice as a trade off to our once useful ability?</div>

I hear what your saying, I tried mezing the nameds in HoF but it wouldnt work, soo I just mezed the adds and it went quite smooth. All mobs cant be the same, that would be boring. Our mez is still very useful.<div></div>

Hello Slizii,Yeap, i know what you're talking about too, our mezz isn't useless. Its just that it was ... well.. better when we could consistenly control the crowd with our mezz, it allowed groups with mezzes to adopt certain strategies before fighting etc. Now its pretty much hit and miss, since we're not sure how many of these names are actually immune to our mezz.Granted I haven't been using my mezz much due to the large number of PBaoe (Swashies bruisers and 'zerks for example) people i group with, it was still nice to have a mezz as a back-up when things go bad (Wiping when fighting named etc. <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />). It would seem that a pretty large number of names are now immune to our mezzes though. i'll check on it a little more and see if its evident in other zones or instances too <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

Yes thats why i dumped my coercer for a troub its getting to the point were all we can mez and charm are yard trash making us usless as CC.Coercers are built around mez and charm taking away from enchanters only makes people not play them there are so few now on my server there almost extinct. My guild is over 400+ members there are NO enchanters as mains due to these changes.

What bothers me more is when I can't mez or charm certain non-named monsters. Example: I don't expect to be able to mez or charm the named Bouncers in the Feerrott, but I expect to be able to mez or charm the non-named placeholders (a Greenblood bouncer).

Alot of the nameds in Bonemire now are immune to mez...it will even land on them...as you will get an icon on them for the mezz, but they will keep on a truck'n and a kill'n...there are some mobs in HoF that are mezz immune also, that I've notice...so we mezz others and kill the non-mezable ones first.I can understand them changing it up some, but it is frustrating in some cases...just another learning experience of how the game enviroment acts/interacts.<div></div>
