View Full Version : Troubador real fun?
hi ,I was thinking about starting a Troub on Talendor (German PvP). Can you guys tell me if this class is good fun to play or is it more like meeting your group, decide wich buffs to go and then press some mid/low damage CAs the whole evening?As to some threads i read on this boards, it always seemed to me like the above, but perhaps I got something wrong.thanks for the help

I enjoy playing Troubador. Soloing with charm is fun, and when you group, you bring a lot to the table with your buffs and damage. We're not mages when it comes to doing damage, of course, but we're a far cry better than a backup priest trying to chain his solo HO, [Removed for Content].
Message Edited by Jooneau on 03-21-200602:57 PM

I have a ton of fun playing my Troub. We have so much utility that you can always be doing something.

Charming/Mezzing adds, changing songs due to certain situations, can go melee or ranged depending on mob.

I am level 69 and there has never been a time when I have found my Troub boring.

Since you are choosing for a PvP server you should understand that your group utility is about double that on a normal server, however, solo you will be no dynimo. So far, I've noticed a few things in PvP for Troubs:

More off-tanking in groups (there are fewer people playing tank classes than normal servers);

Tracking for enemy PC's is a constant duty; Evac is signivicantly more important;

Soloing is a lot more work or at least you have to pick good spots to do it;

You will wish you had more HPs for taking big hits;

You'll curse the Dev who decided not to give Troubs a poison resist buff and save it for Dirges only;

Do not engage in a ground war against a caster on elevated terrain unless you have a charm pet or can you can reach the spot in a hurry.

So, depends what you consider fun, but it's a good PvP class and you keep busy.
