View Full Version : New to EQ2
I just started playing EQ2 and the Troubador quest seems to be my favoriate class. I finsihed the 'Source of Evil' quest on the island and pretty much ready to travel to Queynos. However I am confused on what to do next. Do I just accept every quest in the city and complete them? If so when do I group up, etc. What exactly do I need to look forward to.I love EQ2 so far but its frightning learning curve. Thanks!

First do your race series of quests, this should point you to another zone for another series of quests, and so on for a bit until you get to the Caves, where you probably want to group to do the quests. Doing the quest series in the Forest Ruins (get to it from the Baubleshire or The Willow Wood), The Peat Bog (get to is from Starcrest Commune or Netterville Hovel), and Oakmyst Forest (get to it from any bell). Then do the Caves quests (get to it from any bell). These quests give pretty good equipment, not just for new players who can't afford better, but even for experienced players that could buy expensive equipment are usually going to be hard pressed to find something better.

Just putting LFG flag up is a good strategy. A lot of low level characters are alts of players that know what they are doing, so a good way to learn your way around is to just follow their lead for a bit as you get a feel for the game. I would just leave it up and run solo quests and just fight solo mobs your own level until you get an invite.

once ur off the isle grab random quests and goto forest ruins til about level 10.then goto caves until the mobs are too low for you.then goto antonica and do random quests/kill stuff such as snakes, rats, hawks etc.work your way deeper into antonica as you level. At around level 14-15+ you can start doing blackburrow.its a cave and you need a group. It's fun, gives good experiance, and items.Blackburrow is in southeast Antonica. If you dont know where something is, just ask in game chat.you really dont need to group until level 20.once you get to level 20, do the armor quest series.there are six of them and you will need a group for these.thundering steepes is a good place to goto at level 20.
Awesome Thank You!I take it as a Troubador your responsibility is damage add and buffing, etc. I'm level 7 now doing forest ruin quests (I already hate the line of skeletons that pass through there killing everything from the beach to the front of the 'ruins' or castle)So far so good!

you could always goto oakmyst forest if thats the case. That train of mobs can be annoying, not sure what causes that(prolly other players).
