Troubadors and power drains?

I noticed troubadors get a lot of attacks that will drain a little bit of power..  I am curious, do we get any high power drains at higher lvls?Right now at lvl 26 my attacks drain maybe 50 power at the most on a hit..  While most mobs have 1K power it doesn't even make a dent in it.  I don't even really see the point of it.  Would be cool if it was a manaburn type thing where it drained the power and did dmg of the amount trained, but it doesnt.So do we get any big power drain attacks or just a bunch of little power drain attacks that barely make a difference?  Im very new to troubador as you can probably tell <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

I have just recently started a Troub and noticed that even at high levels the power drain is useless in PvE. However, it will be great in PvP.<div></div>

Think of our mana drain spells as free dps. If you notice the amount of power that they drain is about the same amount of power that they use, so essentially you get to do some damage without the cost of power.Still kinda sucks, but eh....

<div></div><p>Yeah, you used to be able to drain a mobs power to nothing with 4/5 casts of your latest power drain spell, effectively making an encounter trivial. They stopped this with epic encounters by increasing their power regen so high that they never ran out. That change seems to have been applied to all mobs now and I never get a mobs power anywhere near zero.</p><p>The power drain spells did used to cost us power though and now they actually give us power back on a successfull attack. Its not much though.</p><p>Now our power drains are just another CA that also give us a small amount of power.</p>

Aye with the change to the way mobs regenpower power drains only have any effect on mobs with no ^'s. anythign above that basicly has unlimited power.Power drains imo are completely pointless other than in duels and pvp.  Other than that fact which i think i heard a dev or two say that pvp and pve were supposed to be completely seperate, yeah right that is so not what is happening.   They might want to take a look at power drians,  because yeah, they mean nothing unless fighting pc's.If i am to play on a PvE server I expect ALL of my abilites to at least have some effect on PvE mobs. not for duels or pvp.   LOL hell RoR has more effect than power drains and thats just sad.<div></div>
