<div>Its doesnt work on tripple arrow heroic mobs. Found this out the hard way last night. (Brias Infatuating Sonnet)</div><div> </div><div>The level 48 version do alow you to charm tripple arrow mobs, and have done so for as long as I can remember.</div>

<div>Well that's interesting. My Troub is part of a permagroup that only rides when all parties are available. So he doesn't get out much. Every time he does though, I bug the Charm (his is Bria's Entrancing Sonnet, the level 20 version). It doesn't work on ^^^s either, instead saying they are too powerful. I had assumed this would persist throughout all levels/versions of the spell. Then I thought maybe it was because I had the Apprentice 1 version, but nothing changed when I wasted the cash on upgrading it.</div><div> </div><div>Does ^^^ make something epic? I'm thinking since they all say "Heroic" under the tooltip that the answer is "No."</div><div> </div><div>So far every time the spell would have come in handy it would have been to keep a ^^^ at bay. So the bug apparently is that the spell description is broken and should read "Does not affect epic targets or 95% of the heroic targets you will want to use it on."</div>

Certain mobs have been deemed uncharmable.  While most are ^^^ Heroic mobs, not all are.  The good old "a Bull Crocodile" in Sinking Sands is a ^ solo mob that is uncharmable.  Go back and try charming lower level ^^^ Heroics that you know were charmable, like the cyclops' in PoF.  It seems to be the most powerful in the area that get this flag, but I really don't know what is and what isn't tagged.  I guess I'll just have to plug up to 62 and do some testing myself <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<div>Hmmm. So I should keep trying? Seems like every ^^^ I've tried I got the same result. Definitely <strong>every</strong> type of ^^^ giant and undead giant in TS, several skeleton types in SH, and various mobs in Splitpaw heroic zones. Target is too powerful. I didn't try the ^ or even con versions of the same giants (there are ^^^ firerock goliaths and then some even con firerock goliaths that come in a group, for example) Meanwhile the Illusionist in the group has yet to find a mob that he can't mezz, including a couple named mobs we would have otherwise wiped on. Makes me feel oh so useful.</div><div> </div><div>All set to take that spell off the hotbar, that's why I came to the forums today. To see if that's just the way it is with the charm - i.e. no ^^^s. I got the impression from a couple posts that it was. Maybe it's just a high percentage of ^^^s. Next time I'll keep trying to charm things even when we don't need it to see if I can find something ^^^ that works. 0 for 10 or so mob types so far. :smileysurprised:</div><div> </div><div> </div>

Did you try getting the Adept 3 or Master Spell version?  I have the master for my Troubalor at level 22, and I found I can charm the triple dots mobs easily, since the spell have 30% resistablilty factor, which make it possible to charm the mobs at that level.  I assume you have Adept 1 or Appreciance version, which make it harder to charm them, since htey can shrug it off when you have master, it make it lot harder for them to shrug it off instead.<div></div>

<div>They keep on changing stuff. Things that were charmable yesterday aren't today... on and on it goes...</div><div> </div><div>the only constant is change :/</div><div> </div><div>-- seefar @ nektulos</div>

Maybe we should hunt down Blackguard, and hit him with Charm spell and make him get on his knees, kow-bow to us and kiss our feet for messing things up with our charm songs.*Whips out his violin and start playing badly to pop his eardrums*<div></div><p>Message Edited by Elikster on <span class="date_text">03-01-2006</span><span class="time_text">04:08 PM</span></p>

Awesome stuff!  Just checking:  Were they all the same quality?  Or were some Master 1, some Adept III, and another Adept I?  Just covering all angles on this so we can narrow down if it is worth upgrading, besides resist reducers.

<div></div>Ok...I just tried testing Adept I version vs. Adept III version of our charm spell.  Niether will charm a ^^^ heroic.I have changed back to my old charm.  I find it much more useful since just about every single (non-linked) heroic mob is gonna be a ^^^ con.**Hopefully our new spell gets fix and not our old one nerfed.**<div></div><p>Message Edited by Swisher Report on <span class="date_text">03-02-2006</span><span class="time_text">07:41 AM</span></p>

<div></div><p>I just got Adept III version of the 62 spell last night and was unable to Charm ^^^ mobs  although it works on ^^. </p><p>For the record my level 48 Master spell still worked on ^^^ although it has a shorter duration and seemed to break easily.</p><p> </p><p>Just a guess but Adept I = one up arrow?</p><p>Adept III = two up arrow?</p><p>Master = three up arrow?</p>

I haven't tried it out a whole lot, but I haven't been able to charm a ^^^ with the Master I version of the 62 spell. Only tried it a few times when I was bored, though.<div></div>

<div></div>Do you get the message target too powerful or simply a resist?

The description states that upgrades reduce the chance of a periodic resist, nothing about tougher mobs. But more importantly, my level 20 version worked on everything up to and including ^^s at Apprentice 1. Still works on ^^s at Adept 1, and still doesn't work on ^^^s.

<div>Workin on access quest in Sol's Eye for bastion of flames so i can help some guildmates.</div><div> </div><div>Gaurdian of Thyr level 50^^^ charmable with level 48 master I and uncharmable with level 62 adept III so I would say that level of spell affects only the duration while upgrades affect ability to charm certain types of mobs. (i.e. heroic ^^^)</div>

I can say now that they are different:The level 20 (and by association 62, since I'm only 57 when posting this) seem to not affect ^^^ heroics, regardless of quality.  I tried with Adept 1, then upgraded to Master 1 and still no luck.  I have the 34 Adept 1 and 48 Master1 and both did ^^^ heroics.  I'm thinking our 20 was bugged and the cut-and-paste was done from there <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />As it stands right now the original poster, Snobelfot, looks to be correct.  Stick with the level 48, no use to even get the App II of the 62 at this point.

<p>Hmmmmm. So if we /bug it enough they will (someday, perhaps) make them all the same. . .</p><p>But will they limit the 48 and 34 versions to ^^ and lower, or will they raise the 20 and 62 versions to include ^^^s. :smileysurprised:</p><p>Do we risk it?</p>
