I intend to listen to a fairly eclectic mix..

Nine Inch Nails, Ministry, Jane's Addiction, Billy Idol, Gorillaz, Rachmaninoff, Wagner, Metallica (the old stuff), Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Tool, Modest Mouse, Die Krupps, KMFDM, New Order, Offspring, Greenday, DJ John Kelly, Crystal Method, Chemical Brothers, The Kinks, Rolling Stones (Undercover and earlier), Prodigy and Johnny Cash.

I'll probably end up throwing in a few others (maybe Scooter's 'Fire') but this should cover most of it.

Balmung - Good call on Maiden, forgot about that... And STP, and some others...

As to where the rap's at, I have two answers:

The flip answer - where it belongs, in the turlet.

The real answer - rap isn't really inspirational for a slaughtering spree, and nor is it blood-moving enough to keep someone awake on hour 11 of a serious exp grind. I'd have to imagine most people's grind music falls into 3 categories:

High-tempo (happy hardcore, speed-metal, thrash, house, techno, rock and certain classical pieces)

Heavy (metal of all kinds, some rock, some classical)

Loud (rave/hardcore, metal, rock, some classical)

All 3 (Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, the William Tell or 1812 Overtures, etc)

Johnny Cash will be heavy in my play list. I can already hear "when the man comes around" playing in my head as I pop out of stealth to cast judgement on an unsuspecting Mob... :smileyvery-happy:
