Bard speed vs Mount speed?

Hey guys, I havn't played EQ2 since last year... was the first 50 defiler on my server and then got tired of the game due to no PvP, and lack of items.. but I'm coming back with some friends and I'm rolling a Troubador for the PvP server. I was wondering tho, Mount speed is 40% (from what i saw) and on my 50 bard on test server bard was speed 34%. Does bard speed ever pass mount? Just seemed kinda wierd to me that anyone can get a mount, and be faster then the bard class.. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  I played DAoC/EQ1 so im used to bards being the fastest classes in the game. thx for any input<div></div>

<div></div>There also seems to be a runspeed buff increase in the wisdom AA line.  The AA's really don't seem to be all that, so I might go the wisdom route just to continue to tear [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] across the world.

<div>The bard speed boost is level 46 I think, +34% and it stacks with Jboots. There are about 5 mounts now which cost upward of 10 plat which are 48% run speed. So we can just about hold our own against those expensive horses, while tearing almost every other horse apart.
