<div>Hey all.  I've seen lots of questions on here regarding whether or not to play the Troubadour, so I thought I might try and suck it all into one post.  Anyone who feels they have something to add, please do!  All information would be gladly taken.</div><div> </div><div>So why play a Troubadour?  Here are some good reasons that I've come across:</div><div> </div><div>1.) You'll never, EVER have to buy a horse or carpet.  Run speed for the win!  Currently mine is at 35%, which is as fast as most horses and carpets.  Though I think I've heard of some at 40%.  No worries about dumping all that coin on a mount.  (Unless you really want to.)</div><div> </div><div>2.) We're rare.  There's not a million and one of us running about, which makes us unique in our own right. </div><div> </div><div>3.) Every group and/or raid is happy to have us, especially in a guild.  Again, we're hard to find - and we contribute a great deal to groups and raids with our myriad of buffs.  Casters/healers love us to little pieces!</div><div> </div><div>4.) Some cool looking spells.  Personally I happen to like the music notes thing.</div><div> </div><div>5.) At level 50, we gain a mez spell.  Works great for soloing those groups you couldn't before, or being able to add valuable crowd control to grouping.</div><div> </div><div>(If anyone has more to add, please so do.)</div><div> </div><div>So why NOT to play a Troub?</div><div> </div><div>1.) Soloability.  Let's face it.  We're the red-headed step child of the scout class in means of soloing anything.  You're going to sit back and watch in dismay as other scouts, or fighter classes, or caster classes walk right up to heroics and burn them down without even blinking.  Won't happen with us.  Our DPS capability is about half of that of other classes, and we get pounded into dust by heroics.  Unless you have room to kite, which is hard to find, good luck with soloing.  We can solo the down arrow mobs and even con mobs and even the single up arrow without too much trouble, but anymore than that, and watch out.</div><div> </div><div>That's really the only reason other than that I can think of.  Again, if you have more to add, do so.  And if you agree or disagree, please share your experiences in changing the word around. </div><div> </div><div>Thanks!</div><div> </div><div> </div>

For #3, it should be buffs and debuffs.  If a troub just wants to only add buffs they may as well go /afk and autofollow on a caster <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

<div></div>Add to number 1... Journeyman boots + selo's speed spell = 44% run speed increase! :smileytongue:
