Well, I know of no other character that has been nerfed as badly as the Troubador was nerfed for dueling... My name is Conductor on Neriak and I am lvl 59 Troubador.  I am greatly disappointed in what has happened to my Troubador for dueling...  The following are the reasons I am leaving this game.  It amazes me that after playing Everquest I and having a Wizard, that this character is 'constantly' being changed in one way or another.  A person has absolutely no idea where their character is going when playing a Troubador in this game.  In Everquest  I, I knew what I was starting and I ended up being that character.  I was able to dictact my path, rather than updates changing my path consistently. Here is what happened to the Troubador since this terrible update...   :My mez is now 25 seconds instead of 40 seconds in duels (Master 1 mez)My stifle lands less now than it did before but worse yet it is 4 seconds instead of 8 seconds (Master 1 Ovation)Stun is now 2 seconds instead of 6I would doubt that my master I regen of health is doing the same as it did before, it just seems like I don't regen the same...I gained Evasion which can make my target lose their target.  This is the only benefit that the Troubador received, far from equalling out what we lost. Now, take into consideration that ANY PERSON can break our mez with Manastone, we are honestly not able to do anything other than die.  I am the top Troubador on our server for dueling and was honestly able to do well in dueling.  I beat a lot of characters and was having a lot of fun.  Manastone was a terrible thing to deal with, but I had a back up plan that somewhat helped in dealing with it.  Now, manastone and the nerfed songs = Troubador cannot duel effectively any longer. Why does SoE allow people to break our mez with Manstone?  In Everquest I if you were mezzed, you couldn't cast spells.  NO CASTING.  Now, in this game, you can cast some things while you are mezzed.  Hell a Bruiser can 'close mind' during mez while a Coercer can cast through it anytime.  All mez or stun to a Coercer is root...Being a Troubador was exciting when I had to perfectly 'time' my duels and honestly play with sincere skill to win a duel.  I went from being a top dueler on the server to a [Removed for Content] character that honestly any one can beat with little to no skill easily.  I have skill and I have the ability to think of strategies to deal with other characters using the songs and abilities my character maintains.  However, I am puzzled and clueless as to what a Troubador can do in duels now to effectively beat any class.  Good luck beating a necro with a pet and manastone.  Good luck beating a Brigand who can range stun faster than anything you can do, and then, they stun you and maintain that stun until they have damaged you to death in one shwoop.  Good luck dealing with a Ranger who stuns you once, steps back and arrows you so that you die in one set of arrows/stifled and more arrows.  Good luck dealing with a Chanter that mezzes faster than you off the bat, stuns you from that point forward and stifles while takes all of your power then kills you or simply showers you with root.  Oh yeah, the chanter has a pet that does all of those same spells.  Good luck beating any lvl 58 plus Bruiser.  Yeah, they 'close their mind' to stuns, mez and stifle (all the Troubador can really do)... = dead.  Fury and Warden you can't do enough damage, you had to control them with stun, stifle and mez to be able to beat them.  Post Update UI19 you cannot do this anymore, things are too short of timer to loop it together. At lvl 58 the Troubador gets Maestro which will allow a lot more damage.  Guess what hte problem is with Maestro?  You can't move, you are rooted.  The only way you could stand in front of a person and use Maestro was with an 8 seconds stifle followed by a 6 second stun.  Then, of the 20 second Maestro, you could at least use 14 seconds of it.  Now, stifle is 4 seconds.... use your Maestro (get rooted) stifle and then prepare to die as guess what?  We cannot take damage well...  Brigands, Rangers, Assassins, Bruisers, Monks, Zerkers etc.. you can't get hit one time in a duel and stunned as they will perma stun and polish you off in one big bang.  The only way to combat these mega dps people who could kill you once they got a stun off was to stay away and lock them down.I was leveling up a Jewler I got to 49 and was really pumped about the new expansion.  I was as excited about this Troubador as any character I had ever played in an online game.  I don't know why that Sony decided to nerf my character so harshly when Bruisers, Brigands and Rangers can simply own all in duels...  Troubadors were not and never were known for being good to great duelers.  I had used my songs to the best of my abilites and became a formidable dueler.  Now, I get beat 80 percent of the time...Meanwhile, the Illusionist didn't get nerfed AT ALL and can do what I was doing as a Troubador Better and far more Efficiently.  I know that a moderator wouldn't read this and wouldn't respond, but it sure would be nice to know why the lowest played class on the server got nerfed so heavily here in this update... <div></div>

As the only fighter or scout class without stances, and the lowest dps of them all, all but taking away the only viable options for fighting is going to make pvp versus anyone rather difficult. It may be that in their view, being a support class, bards aren't meant to win duels versus anyone.<div></div>

Hello all.  Well I am ready to move on to WoW now that this latest nerf has taken place.  Is there a place on some exchange or something like that where I can put this toon and this account up for sale legally?  Or, do I just sell it through the black market?  I have a 59 Troub with 49 Jeweler.  The game has gotten so small, they are merging servers because population is getting so bad.  So, my server is being merged.  Mergfed... lolI am excited that I don't have to be persistantly frustrated about what some company does with my toon anymore.  I am going to find out what apparently 5 million people already know... WoW is the game to play.  WoW prepared, implemented and are rolling in the direction they initially set out on.  Everquest II was released too soon with honestly a sincere lack of preparation to the extent you have no idea what your character will be or not be. What will a Troubador be in two updates?  Could be like a Wizard or could be like a Tank.  Maybe Troubadors will be healers?  It's kind of like a chess you loot.  You never know what you are going to get.  That... you can count on with SoE.Where do I go to sell this headache and frustration?  I want out.<div></div>

"The game has gotten so small, they are merging servers because population is getting so bad."Sorry, but you are mistaken in this one aspect at least. There are more people playing now than there were in the beginning. The problem is, when you add 60% more zones, and there's only 30% more people, it seems like there are less even though there are more. And since the percentage of people leaving the game is higher on the low pop servers, it makes perfect sense to merge them. There's too many zones, everyone's too spread out now.Good move on their part.<div></div>

Ask anyone on my server, I hardly ever lose a duel, and I do not use mez very often (Berserkers and Monks is about it).I find mez a pain in the butt for duels.  I want em over before 3 hours or so.  <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

This just yet another example of SOE's inability to properly balance classes.

<div>Sad to see you go I rerolled for the third time too, second time was the mistake of rolling a Troubador, now I get to be tier 3 DPS but at least I can see some results from my class instead of the lack luster songs the troubs had. And Conductor you may be the 'best' dualing troub on Neriak...there are only like 6 active troubadors on our server and none of them really dual except for you =)</div>
