<div>Greetings all,</div><div>   Here's the deal:  just dinged 47 and have been happily using Kian's Destructive Anthem for many levels, especially after taking the trait upgrade to Master II.</div><div> </div><div>   At 47 I got Kian's Devastating Anthem and I'm looking at the Adept I of the spell now. </div><div> </div><div>   Devastating (Adept I, lvl 47):  reduce WIS by 43, 76 dmg every 6 secs, 10% Harder to resist</div><div> </div><div>   Destructive (Master II,lvl 32):  reduce WIS by 41, 68 dmg every 6 secs, 31% Harder to resist</div><div> </div><div>   All else being equal, I'd be inclined to stick with the lower level spell that I've got at Master II, as I'd rather regularly land the spell than have the little extra damage and more resists.  But that leads to MY QUESTION:  is a higher level spell inherently more difficult to resist than a lower level cast by the same caster, i.e. is it likely that a lvl 32 spell that is 31% harder to resist is still inherently lower than a 47 spell w/ 10% resist?</div><div> </div><div>  Hope that made sense.  Appreciate any help.</div><div> </div><div>-Hampstead, Troubador of the Guardians of Dawn - Mistmoore</div>

I cant answer the question about if lower level spells stick as well as their higher level upgrades, but i can tell you  % harder to resist is based on a normal mob (no ^ or v) of even level con.At 60 with Catastrophic at Adept III, compaired to my Master I of Devastating I dont see a differance in resist at all normaly.   The % harder to resist really doesn't mean too much really at the moment imo.  I say this just because we have several other abilites that seem to get resisted a decent amount but have a higher % harder to resist than say lullaby which has a verylow resist rate. But in general i would say you alwasy want the higher adventure level spell, and of course at least adept I alwasy and Adept III-master I if possible.   Anything below Adept I is significantly lesser quality than Adept I and greater.  I never really have tested using my lower level spells that i may of had at master compaired to spells that i have now that are at adept III.<div></div>

Only way to tell which is better is to parce it with a sample size of atleast 100 for each, vs the same mob using the same equipment and not changing your experience. The lower skill may be inherently easier to resist, which would cancel the bonus that master level grants. However, it would be hard to tell without proper parsing.<div></div>
