Piercing Shriek vs. Alin's Keening Lamentation

What is the diff between these two lines. Per the scout sancuary they are totally differnt lines, but seem so similar, same icon, ther only diff is the word moderate versus medium.Is it just a separate timer? Is there any other reason for the two lines?<div></div>

separate timers and Piercing shriek is single target, alin's is encounter. <div></div>

Different timers, shriek will do more dmg and is single target only, alins is medium dmg and grp aoe. <div></div>

the T6 alin's is pretty nice does about 400-500 to the encounter depending on your int, pretty long cast/recast timer though. <div></div>

My shril does about.. 1100 and my alins does... 806, with 401int self buffed, master 2 shrill and adept 3 alins. <div></div>
