<div></div>Which do you perfer ? I got the non-imbued made before imbuing was added getting the other made just to have. When ranging or jousting i usually go with bard sheild and a 1-hander for there procs. the 13 int is a decent loss when grouping or soloing but while raid buffed im close to int cap or above usually so i thinking of going with imbued for its stats and proc . Thanks for your opinions Ballad 60 troubador of grobb <div></div><p>Message Edited by pickle27 on <span class="date_text">12-02-2005</span> <span class="time_text">07:58 AM</span></p><p>Message Edited by pickle27 on <span class=date_text>12-02-2005</span> <span class=time_text>07:59 AM</span>

For me, the proc is the most important thing. Our ranged attack is pretty weak, but the proc on the bow goes of quite a lot, and if you pull with our bow attack you could get two hits from that plus one more arrow fired off before the mob is in range. More often than not I see the proc go off on a pull like this, which can do very nice damage.
I got the Valian Bow (fabled drop from Spirits of the Lost iirc). Nice INT boost (17 I think). Couldn't care less about procs, since I use my bow only when I'm too low-level to be inside Epic x 4's AEs.

I went for the stats and no imbue. Just dont use bow enough for proc to make any big diference while the stat makes a small but continuous contribution. <div></div>

I carry both with me. I use the prst. cond. ironwood longbow for raids, since the int boost is great for the magic proc and spell dmg. And I bought the prst. imb. ironwood longbow for groups. I use my stifle-shot almost like a tank taunts. If it's up, I will use it asap. That stifle shot is really useful right after a pull, so the tank doesn't get screwed with the first stun ;p

I use my stifle shot for the same good reason... but your bow doesn't have to be imbued to use it that once or twice a fight. I kept mine unimbued for the extra stats. Aside from the stifle, I don't use it enough to warrant worrying about the proc.

<DIV>Your special attack does the same damage on iron arrows as cobalt...nice savings here. If you use for actual bow attack damage the iron will bite. I usually have 1 special attack go off on a pull, and then mele. The proc goes off at least 50% of the time.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Moose</DIV>
<DIV>Since I don't have the luxury of owning 2 premium bows, I got the non-imbued made. This was a no-brainer for me. I rarely stand back and use just ranged attacks (only during raids, really). I typically use the bow only for the bow ability (and got an adept III ready for when I ding 58, yay!). In fact, I still buy the cheapest arrows out there (like 6 copper per arrow) since our ranged bow ability does not take into account the quality of the arrows. But I do use the ranged bow ability often: many times on pull if caster mob for the stifle and I will oftentimes take a step back from meleeing and fire off a volley.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The stats were waaaay more important to me than the proc.</DIV>

<DIV>Both</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>With the new raid content which has some huge aoes which cant be mitigated by troubs (unlike most t6 stuff) I find myself using my bow alot more for the auto attack while I fire off ranged combat arts (Shrill, debuffs, pilfer etc)and Guvienas. The Int boost is nice for a rotation if I am fighting as usual, close range and spamming CA's and Debuffs.</DIV>
