Not really a complaint its just I have a lvl 25 Troubadour alt and a lvl 51 Ranger main. Now the Ranger has one group buff that he got way back in antiquity...Pathfinding so buffing very rarely enters the equation for my main at all. Its embarrassing when they all say buff up and I just say "I am" and stand there... : When it comes to the troub I already have about 15 gazillion buffs and I'm always scratching my head which is best for soloing, which is best for groups and stuff. What would you guys recommend as a good solo and good group buff complement? Is there any way to macro it as well? Fun class...I really like my Troub. Shame the lvl 20 fluff spell is so bad

Well - this is what makes Troubadors fun !!

Its not always the same thing and you change your buff depending on what you are doing.

What I have done is put a list of top 10 songs ( with stats ) that I use in my bio - with the top 5 being my default group use songs, and bottom 5 ones that I can swap out and use on request.

Then when I get in a group I say ' See bio for song config and let me know if you have any requests'

1) You have all thie zillion buffs because you a troubador, if you read the class desciption you play songs to grant courage for your group mates ect. You still got lots of buffs to go if your only 21 2) Solo- I go with Power regain, Str Agi buff, Attack Speed, Agi Int self buff, and proc line. 3) Groups- Ask your group, it changes with ever group pending on what kind of members you have

in groups you rarely find situations where you can do without mana regen and damage proc song. adding skill enhancing buffs, stat song, haste or increase your int for more damage depends on if the groups consists of more melee or cast oriented type of dds.you also have a buff (defense) from what tanks may benefit. and don't forget about your aggro reducing and resistance type of buffs it's part of playing a troub (and a fun part ) to determine what buffs are needed in certain situations.

In addition learning to play "on the fly" is another great part about the bard class. If you study what type of mobs do what, or have your damage logs seperated to pick up what type of resistances or buffs are needed then cancel an existing buff to throw up one that will throw the battle in your favor.

Yep, definitely a great thing. Now that resistances mean something its nice to have the knowledge of what mobs do what dmg. Also seeing more mobs that auto-attack for a magical damage as opposed to physical damage now.
