what order would you grade your spells to adept 3

Swan Song first, definitely. Get it at master if possible.Then, in this order:EvadeTaffo'sPurloin EssenceInvigorating OpusThe you can add all the damage skills in whichever order you like. Stat buffs aren't really worth upgrading. Apart from Haste and Swan Song, the only buffs really worth upgrading at all are the resist songs.

<DIV><FONT size=2>I don't see how Swan Song is bugged, it's the best thing we have imo. However, I do have a question about it at adept 3. I recently found a rhodium and have my ink ready, but I'm still a little uncertain of the numbers. At adept 1 and at 46 my description says it adds 7, but looking at my skills it really adds 8. I found a description of the adept 3 somewhere saying it adds 9 at level 50, so can anyone confirm if this truly is 9 or if it is 10. As it is I would be hard pushed to use a rare ink for +1 on skills and would rather hold out for the master, if it ever shows on my server :smileyhappy:</FONT></DIV>

Hmm I'm not so sure that's worth it then unless you are fairly rich. 1pp is a lot to me and I'm not sure I want to part with it for just 1 extra point on Swan Song. Shall have to think on, hopefully future changes will see adept 3's and masters being worth the coin.

Swan Song is +9 at Adept 3 and +11 at Master 1. I managed to get the Master for 3p, I think it's the only one found on my server so far, but it was definitely worth the money.I'm at the point now where I'm upgrading the less useful songs to adept 3. Last night it was Eli's Thunderous Anthem and Exquisite Shrill.

hmm, looks like I varied in my Adept3 path from the other posters.  I would upgrade your damage attacks first like Taffo's, Sandra's etc.  They seem to provide the most significant number increases.  Most of the stat buffs (if the descriptions in game are correct) are very exspensive for very little gain.  Going from App3 to Adept3 and gaining maybe 2 points in skill is sad. If you are in a raiding guild or kiling epic mobs often I would recommend Adept3 Purloin and Taffo's right away. Will get you a good amount of power drain increases, which you will be doing alot of if you raid epic stuff often. My upgrades were: Purloin Taffo's Swan Song (tanks love this one) Sandra's Befuddling Lullaby (i use this on raids much more often then I expected) Upgrading your AE spell isn't a bad decision either if you can get rares fairly frequently. It hits all mobs in an encounter for over 300 each most times I cast it. Another upgrade which I first scoffed but am happy I did was Guivena's (your ranged attack)  This spell with my prismatic sword and druid proc buffs, I can hit even epic mobs for 800+ per cast alot of  times it hits for over 1k. <div></div>

How does adept 3 Lullaby differ to app 1? And how do you find it useful on raids? It doesn't land on epic encounters, and any adds that are not part of the encounter are usually taken care of by the enchanters.

purloin essence doesnt drain and give it to you like it's suposed to. Swan song should add wisdom and offense as well skills yet it only does agi and defense

<P>For Purloin Essence, the description says it returns a portion of the damage done as power to the troubador. This doesn't mean your power is going to go up. It costs power to cast and you get a bit back, so the chances are it's still going to go down unless the portion is high. They haven't stated what is meant by portion, but getting power back is not the reason to use this spell. I have however seen my power go up using Guvienas Osmotic Ovation, probably because it does more damage and costs less power.</P> <P>On Swan Song, the offence is the piercing, slashing, crushing, ranged and disruption that are boosted along with defence, subjugation and ordination. These skills determine how well a player attacks; defence is a skill but the offence is determined by a range of skills. All in all this is the best buff a troubador gets.</P> <P><SPAN class=time_text>These both work very well, and although I never noticed Wisdom not working they both do exactly what they say they should do. I just put Swan Song up and watched my skills, wisdom did go up, as did all the skills the spells says will go up.And Purloin works just how it says it will. You won't gain extra power by using it, but it's still one of the best power drains in the game.

Yeah swan song is a MUST, I was the first to get the master thanks to a guildy and its come in handy. I don't reccomend upgrading the mana song though, I got little benefit going from app 1 to adept 3. If you raid much, getting the elemental resist song to adept 3 is a must, and Raxxyl's I can't remember for sure, but I don't think there was much of a difference from adept 1 to 3. <div></div>

mana song isn't worth upgrading. the only thing that improves is the +max mana, regen stays the same on all levels. stat buffs aren't worth upgrading either, ad3 changes nothing.swan song is worth upgrading (sell your grandmother to get a master). and maybe opus, it goes from 18% to 25%.upgrading the two resist songs may help in some cases to break a threshold (ad1: 644, ad3: 667).the adv pack spell zander's is scaling properly. if you need a magic avoidance debuff, upgrade.and that's it with songs. i, for myself, upgraded the selfbuffs to get some more agi and all dmg styles.the pure manadrain actually gives mana back, if upgraded to master (on a successful hit).some handy spell i consider guvienas. it gives back mana (tested <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />), does some dmg and (the best) stifles the mob. though it's most effective in soloing, seems i never hit epic mobs...<p>Message Edited by thorvang on <span class=date_text>05-25-2005</span> <span class=time_text>06:30 PM</span>
