Total worth to a party, maybe we should keep this to ourselves

<DIV> I posted most of this somewhere else, but since I analyzed alot of data to figure this out I should probably post it, so as many Troubs as possible get a chance to read it. Most of the data was compiled using Combat Stats. Also I like being an uncommon class so you may not want to brag <STRONG><EM>too much, otherwise you gonna see 5000 troubadors running around!</EM></STRONG> They can group up with the 5000 paladins, and 5000 Templars that populate your server!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> I have a level 33 troubador.(34 now actually, but data was compiled from levels 31 thru 33) With Combat stats I can see my average DPS is around 48-50 on most targets, but with groups of 3 or more I average about 65-70 because if AoE's. The thing is with my buffs I increase the group average by about 8.2 per member!! So in a group of 6 thats 41 more Dps. So really that brings the group Dps of my Troubador to around 90-115 depending on MOB. Now alot of people dont know this. I have been going over my combat stat logs for weeks, and there is no class that can have this kinda effect on a party. We are <EM>the best grouped class period!!</EM> <STRONG><FONT size=4>So hold your chins high Troubadors! Stick out your chests, walk tall!!</FONT></STRONG> At level 32-35 the average tank dps is gonna be mid 30's to maybe low 40's. Assasins and rangers are gonna go alot higher like around 55-65, and casters are gonna win at around 70-90 depending on class, but once they get aggro they are dead! Also the casters cant even begin to increase GROUP dps like we do, so the impact on a group is small, and when they start bombing Mobs they are still Aggro machines!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> The funny thing is that until level 25 we our VERY WEAK! Even from 25-30 we pretty much are the weakest class,maybe in the whole game!  It's funny, but I thought I was pretty much a [Removed for Content] compared to my guild mates, but I have always wanted to be a Bard. I was a semi professional  Jazz musician back in the day, and the bards have a little guitar (lyre), so no matter how gimped I felt, I felt I just had to be one, and play MASTERFULLY! Even at low level most people play like idiots, so you can study the game, and study your logs, search the forums, and just outplay the other classes, and players.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyway if you are a troubador sub-level 30 dont give up, becuase when you start to get your power it comes fast, you get alittle of everything, and there are a hundred ways to play, a thousand different situations! Once you get to Zek and EL, the good players beg you to join. The rangers, and assasins, start to think they are gimped!! <div></div>In a group of 6, you will not get 6 x your 8.2 because you won't be boosting non-melee by that much.  It's actually 8.2 times however many melee in the group (excluding yourself) plus a minimal amount for casters/priests. <P> Actually you do on average, becuase of the agility, and skill increasers! This isnt something I just came up with, this is from looking at logs, and charting DPS. By increasing stats you are also affecting casting abililty, the 8.2 can vary, but you would be surprised at how often it works out to be 8.2 for every class. It may be slightly less for Mages, and slightly more for scouts, with fighters in the middle, but with the songsters line(more so minstrel's fortune) it works for all classes</P> <P> </P>

Well, while I still argue that healers always add more to an otherwise healer-less group (while SoE is starting to borrow a few good ideas from City of Heros, they still haven't figured out how to balance their game so that healer-less groups are reasonably possible), adding a bard to a bard-less group does always make a significant difference post 30 if the bard is doing their job right. Well, possibly not if they joined five mages, but how often does that happen? <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>
