I just got this spell recently, when do you use it? It has a long cast time & does moderate damage, I feel like I'm lowering my dps by using it.

I've been parsing and I think its the highest dps I have in my line next to walts. Elegent blade on the other hand seems to have the worst dps for me.</DIV>

Hmmm, I don't recall seeing numbers that big. I'll try it again & pay more attention. One thing I do like is that its a "cloak" ability that can be used from the front....very useful for HO's in a duo

at app 1 it is NOT 200-300, lol. More like 125-175 from what i've seen and used

Not sure if it is solid 223, but Dissenting Cantata hits harder at 230-281 mental damage apprentice IV, plus you can be move while casting unlike Eli's. I tend to use Eli's when soloing or if it comes up in a HO, but rarely spend power on it in a group when other abilities (like Dissenting Cantata) can be used when moving, which I seem to do a lot to stay behind a target :smileywink:</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2></FONT> </DIV></DIV>

I think I got it, when you compare Eli's vs Discontenting the big difference is the power cost, type of HO triggerd & the cast time....didn't notice the cast-while-moving, but that is also interesting. Eli's is basically very situational, it uses less power for the same delay & also provides the rare frontal-cloak for HO's, very nice when you are duoing with a priest. So not a bad spell, not a great spell....just sorta their. I'd feel alot different if the casting time weren't so long....say 2 vs 3 seconds

<DIV>i use it often at lvl 32, but as far as the cloak HO from the front goes, i usually hit elise's ditty as it also triggers the cloak and can be done from teh front or the back.</DIV>
