View Full Version : Bria's Entrancing Sonnet now broken?
<DIV>Used this a few times last night while soloing Tallon Grunts in Zek.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Scenario would be:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1. Charm one orc, set to guard</DIV> <DIV>2. Then aggro another orc</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And before i could finish killing one, the encounter on the charmed one would be broken ( i.e. shows the chest with the line thru it )</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Then not long after the un-charmed one would be broken as well.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Has anyone had this happen to them?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Disregard, saw in another post someone stated not to charm 1st then start another encounter as this would break it =/, thinking back now , i always charmed after starting a fight</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV><p>Message Edited by duc748 on <span class=date_text>02-15-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:26 AM</span>
<DIV>Ok, thought i would go back and try this again. This time attacking a mob 1st then charming another and got the same results as i posted above, both mobs becoming a broken encounter.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyone else had this happen?</DIV>
<DIV>I've seen this happen a couple of times. It's repeatble and here is how it goes. Engage a mob then charm another mob (i.e. not in the same group). If you break the non-charmed encounter, both mobs get the struckout chest symbol and kill each other even after the charm falls. Not a serious problem, but is amusing to watch. I'm guessing this is something along the lines that you've seen.</DIV>
<DIV>Not exactly Caali, I've done what you have described and yes it is amusing at times :smileytongue: but rather,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1. Charm a single mob, then pull another single mob ( note: these are not tied in the encounter ) or</DIV> <DIV>2. Start fighting a single mob then as i'm fighting charm another mob.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In either case, both are becoming broken encounters without me using /yell</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>That's happened to me too. It also happens rarely with my necro friend and her pet. I think it may be a pet bug in general and not only limited to charm.</DIV>

<DIV>I think this is how it is intended to work, so you can't charm a higher lvl mob to kill low lvl ones for exp.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>From what I have experienced the encounter always breaks if you us the charmed mob on anything other than another mob in the same encounter group.</DIV>
