<DIV> <DIV> Like other similar posts , the recent patch has really jeopardized the need for Troubs to exist inside a group. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I play a level 49 Troubbie , I believe I play the class to the best of my ability. But I would like to thankyou SOE for turning my much loved character into nothing more then a very sad ghetto enchanter. Already im getting flashbacks to EQ1 release and the nerf that inflicted rangers  ....... must us troubbies wait 2 years before we are balanced back up ?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sure previously I could handle having poor dps compared to my other scout brothers, it created equality amongst the scouts. I could even handle the EXTREMLY POOR heal song I recieved at lvl 44 ............ only to find out that the training for level 40 skillsets Cassindras DOESNT STACK !!! thou it is completely 2 seperate songs,  just 1 single health tick the higher tick of the 2 prevailing.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I seriously believe you guys <STRONG>need to have a good hard look at the last 10 levels of Troubador and review the abilities </STRONG>we get !!! We are a group oriented class ............. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sony's very own quote regarding our class " Troubadors play music that inspires strength and courage in the hearts of their companions. They lead their allies into the deepest dungeons, raising their spirits with songs of victory. "</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Lets take at look at that last 10 levels and see what the hell us Troubbies bring to our companions ?????</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>40 <U>Eli's Thunderous Anthem</U> Inflicts arcane damage on a single target.  <BR>40 <U>Breathtaking Bellow </U>A ranged mental damage effect that also interrupts the enemy. <BR>40 <U>Exquisite Shrill A ranged </U>attack that deals mental damage with a short duration stamina decrease on the enemy.   <BR><EM>40 Disguise: High Elf Ballads Disguises the troubadour as a high elf. </EM> <BR><STRONG>41 <U>Bria's Exhalting Ballad </U>Increases power replenishment for the party. </STRONG>  <BR>41 <U>Daeli's Dance of Blades </U>Increases damage, agility, arcane resistance, and has a chance to interrupt enemies on a successful hit. <BR><STRONG>42 <U>Invigorating Opus</U> Increases the attack speed, agility and defense of all group members </STRONG><BR>42 <U>Purloin Essence</U>  Drains power from the target, and returns a portion of this damage as a power replenishment to the caster. <BR>43 <U>Alin's Coruscating Concord  </U>Ranged mental attack effect that slows the movements of all enemies in an encounter.  <BR>43 <U>Sandra's Beffudling Incursion</U>  A quick attack that deals mental and power damage over time. Some of the enemy power is transferred to the troubadour   <BR><STRONG>44 <U>Elemental Chorus  </U>Increases Elemental mitigation for all group members </STRONG><BR>44 <U>Guviena's Osmotic Ovation </U>Requires a ranged weapon. Launches two shots at once that deal mental damage, stifle enemies, and return a portion of enemy power to the troubadour.  <BR><STRONG>44 <U>Quiron's Ecstatic Celebration  </U>Increases health regeneration of the party. <BR></STRONG>45 <U>Mala's Voiceless Discant </U>Allows stealthed movement at an increased movement rate. If damage is taken, the aggressor will briefly stop attacking and the troubadour is granted increased agility.   <BR><STRONG>45 <U>Swan Song </U>Increases the offense skills, wisdom and agility of all group members. </STRONG>  <BR>46 <U>Graceful Avoidance </U>Increases parry, intelligence and defense at a lower power cost.   <BR>46 <U>Kian's Devastating Anthem </U>Inflicts mental damage over time.   <BR>47 <U>Oppressive Discante </U>Reduces strength and agility on the target and surrounding encounter members within the area of effect.  <BR>47 <U>Taffo's Dazzling Ditty </U>A flanking attack that deals medium damage, reduces enemy power, has a chance to mesmerize the target, and increases the troubadour's attack speed on a successful strike. </DIV> <DIV><STRONG>48 <U>Arcane Concerto </U>Increases Arcane mitigation for all group members  </STRONG><BR>49 <U>Startling Shriek </U>A very high damage stealth attack that decreases enemy intelligence.<BR><EM>50 Brusco's Flavorful Aura Surrounds the troubadour with lasting streaks of light.</EM> <BR><STRONG>50 <U>Aria of Exaltation </U>Augmentation that has a chance to grant all group members additional instant mental damage on a successful attack. </STRONG> <BR>50 <U>Lore's Magniloquent Roust  </U>Decreases enemy defense, depletes power, and has a chance to stifle the target while increasing the troubadour's agility.  </DIV> <DIV>50 <U>Lullaby</U> Mesmerizes the target. (Any hostile action or damage will awaken the target) <BR></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Of the 21 abilities only 7 are group oriented !!! How we inspire strength and courage............</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Bria's Exhalting : Power regen at an extremely inferior rate compared to enchanters<BR>Invigorating Opus : Haste at an extremely inferior rate compared to enchanters ( Ac and agi increased would be a great compsenation )<BR>Elemental Chorus : No complaints here .... keep up the good work <IMG height=16 src="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif" width=16 border=0><BR>Quiron's Ecstatic Celebration : Lets just not go here again .... ( the one ability that defines troubs vs dirge and its absoluetly crap )<BR>Swan Song : Broken ? Adds 22 agi , No Wisdom and 118 ac ( not worth the 2 conc pts )</DIV> <DIV>Arcane Concerto  : Again no complaints ... keep up the good work <IMG height=16 src="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif" width=16 border=0><BR>Aria of Exaltation  : Nice song line to increase group dps.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> From the above you can see we are left now with ghetto songs to compliment our poor dps ........ As for the songs of strength and courage for my group ... well they now being met with replies of " Wow your class is screwed now ... make a brusier we could use an extra 1500 ac for raiding ".</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> I dont believe people should whine unless they have solutions.........</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>- Foremost if multistacking stat songs was the reason for the agility nerf .... solution would have been make the lower level songs unable to take effect if a higher one was in use.</DIV> <DIV>- Some idea for group songs ..... Grp Invisi , Grp damage shield, Grp power pool increase , Grp hp pool increase, grp ac increase , grp see invisi. Any other bards have views or ideas please put them forward !!! </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> I understand the importance of balance between classes .... but I cant see how SOE believe Troubador are balanced. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> Please dont make Troubadors the early rangers of Everquest 1. </DIV></DIV> <P>Message Edited by Mephers on <SPAN class=date_text>02-04-2005</SPAN> <SPAN class=time_text>07:12 AM Spelling mistakes </SPAN></P><p>Message Edited by Mephers on <span class=date_text>02-04-2005</span> <span class=time_text>07:18 AM</span>

<DIV>Complaints with elemental chorus and Arcane concerto, Adept1 and up to adept 3 versions of these songs has no greater effect than the other, seeing as how resists are CRITICAL in raid encounters with beefed up AoE's perhaps we could get that looked at.... or hey I could go back to um, Faarnerfing myself.</DIV>

<DIV>Swan Song and Minstrels Fortune, both worthless.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Health regen songs, pitiful.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>All stealth attacks sub par with a 3-5 second downtime from melee to initiate them for no added effects.</DIV>

Yet almost all of them are useful to contributing in the group. Charm, power drain, debuffs, damage songs, all help a group bring down opponents.Just because every song is not a group buff does not mean they don't contribute. In fact if every song was a group buff, this would be a horrible class to play.I do agree we have too many stealth attacks, I could see all of them go for all I care.. but minstrel's fortune is not worthless. Not even close.<p>Message Edited by aeiouy on <span class=date_text>02-05-2005</span> <span class=time_text>06:40 AM</span>
