I just got done visiting all the other boards and it seems like NOBODY has near the problems that us troubadours do now. The ONLY thing people are complaining about on other boards is there armor not lookin preety anymore *rolleyes* sure everyone has been effected by the patch but there ability to play has not really been effected as much as the troub class has been. *shaking head* Even in eq1 the bard class was overlooked, it's sad to see there still doing it in eq 2

<DIV> <DIV>1. The guardians whine about AC. They whine about being out-taunted by everyone.</DIV> <DIV>2. The summoners complain about their pet dance (its a bug). They complain about dps.</DIV> <DIV>3. Warlocks and wizards complain about dps.</DIV> <DIV>4. Brawler types (monk and bruiser) complain that they can't really tank.</DIV> <DIV>5. Druid types complain about healing effectiveness at high levels.</DIV> <DIV>6. Assassins complain about the quirks of the poison system.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I could add half a dozen more gripes for each class above, and I could cover every single class. I play 7 chars of varying class, so I read many of the class specific forums, and have since day 1.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What you are seeing is not an anti-bard conspiracy. It is exactly what is fully expected on these boards - many people are competing in a squeaky wheel competition to get the devs attention, so that their favorite class will be buffed to a high-gloss finish. It will never stop. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>No class is perfect. Every class has something to gripe about. And they always will, in every game that doesn't have a 'press this button to instantly kill your target' option. That's why I ignore most of the gripe threads on the forums.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Some people will post in this forum with dire warnings, how the class is entirely unplayable, how they can't do anything at all ever again, and will quit the game and curl into a ball for years due to the infinite injustice of it all. I have seen this in every single forum at one point or another. They might be overstating the issue a bit.</DIV></DIV><p>Message Edited by GrimmeHF on <span class=date_text>02-02-2005</span> <span class=time_text>04:59 PM</span>

<DIV>I'm not being rude here but i suggest you take any 1 of your chars, find the highest mob you can solo with it, then take a troub of similair equip and same lvl and try same mob and see what happens here then you may see just how bad this is right now. I have watched players (several classes most though i'd rather not say which and have some1 pick up on them and cry nerf those too) 5 lvls lower than me now solo mobs that i no longer can a few times now.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> im lvl 36 in full pristine feyiron gear aprat from legs which are the rare feysteel armour, have fishbone earing, the haste ring, polished granite tomahawk, slime coated harpoon and more, all of my equip is pretty much best i can use at my lvl, giving you equip infor so you cannot go down the, but the other chars may have been better equipped.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Araknar</DIV>
well i'm a lvl 50 swashbuckler......only thing diff bout me is I can't solo grays anymore cause I can't dodge and if i get aggro I die.....so pretty much yeh...my playstyle been screwed......can't do anything with some big phat fighter with me.....while fighters are prob just as screwed lolgray mobs were never able to hit ya in the lower lvls...why in the higher lvls....I would be happy if they made it so a lvl 43 gray mob can't hit me at lvl 50....yep...

Well i also have 6 diff chars i play, and by far the worst class post-patch has to be my troub *which does happen to be my favorite class* It really is sad. And i'm not talking about soloin ability either, i'm talking about grouping ability.

<DIV>Hey thank you everyone for not flaming this, I wasn't trying to be rude, I'm glad that the troub board is more civilized than others.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It really is a squeaky wheel contest by the way, my point is that we need to squeak at the right pitch. The posts that go too far are ignored as being unrealistic. What we need is real data, posted intelligently and in the right place. My troub isn't high enough level to get this kind of info (he recently dinged 21).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, things have radically changed. It would be great to get more posts on successful tactics and situations, as opposed to solely negative 'I can't do x' threads.</DIV>

I solo fairly well despite the nerf patch. I fight white con creatures with half health left, sometimes more. I use all my agility buffs available to me while using songsters luck and the agility/strength debuff on the mob.I use my HO's as fast as the timer allows. I stun the enemy as much as I can and use the flanking attack while the target is stunned.I usually have half power left after I'm done too. I never use haste while soloing, I think it's a waste. I never use power regen eitherwhile soloing. I dont have health regen yet as I'm only level 29 Troub, otherwise I might use that instead of the debuff. Just some stuff I do while soloing, thought it might help some.I rarely solo orange now, and when I do I have less than 20% health left. Reasonable, considering the creature is orange and supposed to be togher than me.

<DIV>Being lvl 25, fighting solo efficiently as a troub requires much attention.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For outdoor here is more or less what i do.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Usually, i pull with bow (singing shot dealing 2 x 50-70 dmg) if i can, i walk backwards while using Piercing Shriek (140dmg). </DIV> <DIV>Then, i use my lvl 10 Root ability (can't remember the name) cast the debuff chant, turn on my Parry buff, and that's the time for the root to break and enter melee.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Now, as soon as the mob arrive, i stun, move in his back and "Taffo's" the bad guy.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Time for HO using alternatively Lores SNapping Sonnet and Dirty Tricks, and focusing on geting a Ringing Blow.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As soon as i can i try to root the mob again, make a few steps back, and use Arrows again or piercing shriek.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I try to use HO as much as possible and stun to be able to do my side attack.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The good thing is : combat are always VERY dynamic, but with so much energy in the fight keeping attention to everything and playing with most of our tricks, white con often leave me around 50% health (haven't tried yellow for some time now)</DIV> <DIV>Wouldn't say we are uber... and from the other classes i play, it's the more complicated and the weakest.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I spend most of my time duoing, and as soon as there's someone else to tank in group (player or pet), Troubadour are indeed more valuable (buffs, good dmg output, and a few interesting abilitys like short duration charm, evac, HO abilitys and opening, or power regen), but i wish i was less a scout and more a troub...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Well, i love challenging situations and being able to pull many tricks out, so Troub is my favorite one, but, at least, if they don't want to make us a powerfull class, they should buff up our tricks a bit...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV><p>Message Edited by Sharkan on <span class=date_text>02-05-2005</span> <span class=time_text>01:44 AM</span>
<DIV>Agi nerf really Hurt lvl40+ troubadour. At lvl50 i have all my skill adeptI some AdeptIII and one Master(performer talent). I have all my heritage , and all my armor is white/blue for me (i think ive near the best gear possible without legendary drop and ebon crafting.)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I finish , a lvl49 bear at Everfrost with all my buff up , at 20% hp !!!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>There is something wrong.</DIV>

<DIV>The nerf stung, alot. But that doesn't render my buffs useless. The str and sta additions are just as valuable as the agi, perhaps even more now.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But I am getting tired of the nerfbat swings, both those they announce and the stealth ones.</DIV>
