Minstrel Fortune useful?

Wondering if anyone could please point out what the song actually does.Nope, I know what it DOES. But I mean 2 conc slots for a increase in attack of 6 points and 3 in AC seems kinda... well :smileytongue:Do I overlook something? Song is at app2 level.

You're overlooking the fact that the songster's luck line of buffs was nerfed without it being mentioned in the patchnotes a while ago. You're correct about it being useless now for the 2 conc it takes.I only keep 4 statbuff songs up, and bria's or str/agi debuff depending on situation.

I mainly use it when soloing, at adept 1 it increases defense/offense by +6 - effectively rasing you 1.2 levels in skills. This can make many green con mobs defend like grey con, allowing you to solo. With this spell up, I've been able to tackle ++ mob's 3 levels under (normally I can only do at 4 levels under). Combine it with power drains to turn the enemy into a melee, and it's a very useful ability.Not so much use in a group though.

One of our absolute best buff lines in the game. Yeah, what it appears is that Minstrel's at the same level is 1 pt more effective than Songsters. I have Minstrel's at App4 and Songster's at Adept 1. Both increase the skills by 5 pts. I imagine if I found an Adept 1 Minstrel's it would then be a 6 pt boost. Its a fairly disapointing upgrade. (Though I guess 1 pt out of 5 is a 20% increase...)So if you have songsters at adept 3 or above, there is not much point in upgrading this until you can afford at least the same level Minstrel's.

Actually it boosts all of your offensive and defense abilities, not only for you but for your entire group.After you stop using it songster's luck, it is one of the best buffs you have.
