Was just in the mood to check some numbers and came up with some interesting stuff (to me at least)On Faydark:There are only 91 Troubadors on the entire server.Only 7 of us are Human.I don't know about anyone else, but I enjoy the rarity of our class and the rarity of my race choice just adds a little more fun to it for me. Well, not earth shattering info, bu tthought I would post it anyway <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<DIV>I know what you mean.  It just feels good when you get an invite and hear "ooh a bard!"  <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

i personally find the charm skill we get at lvl 21? very useful. it's a trade off though. you have to set a macro to something like "charming a %T, DO NOT ATTACK" and than cast it. than pull back and let the mob follow you until the group finishes the first mob. than let them come to you and break the charm. just my 2c

i enjoy being rare. definitely not a lot of troubs on my server, particularly over lvl 35. one thing to keep in mind though...since you *are* rare...people will remember you hehe. so, make sure and play your class well. if you do, people will be looking to add you to a group before you're even online. If you play it poorly, they'll see you as "that crappy bard" to avoid hehe.healerofthelost: although you accidentally posted that here, i thought i'd reply. =) "pull back and let the mob follow you" after charming??? umm...no. /assist tank. /pet attack! doesn't last long but it does add some good dps for as long as charm lasts. =)

<DIV>Sorry for soundind newbi-ish but how did you count the troubadours on your server ?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Is it a /who ability ?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And to answer your point, i am playing a Dwarf Troubadour / Carpenter... </DIV> <DIV>So yes, rarity was one of my earlier concerns in the game. And i enjoy this.</DIV>

The site limits searches to 100, so if there are more then that on your server it will only show you the first 100 in alphabetical order.

::giggles::Love being a troubador <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />On LDL I was the sixth to make level 32 as Troubador. Not many around I guess <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />How did you dig up the number of all troubadors on the server?

<DIV>Call me a nub but.....I cant figure it out for the life of me how you was able to search and get a list of a certain class. Could you explain how you did it please? I tried advance search but it wants a players name.</DIV>

<DIV>Its fun! I have seen quite a lot of troubs going around (well more than expected), but as yet have never been grouped with one. Its also nice when someone sends you a tell from another zone asking if you would like to come group with them, even though the zone is littered with people who are LFG, and when people cheer when they realise a troubador has joined the group. I'm sure this happens with other classes of course, but the biggest buff of all would seem to be popularity :smileyhappy: </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I would still love the class if every other scout was a troub tho. And don't forget dirges! I love to group with a dirge, something about two bards with different goals brings out the roleplayer in me. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>Enjoy it while it lasts, there are a slew of troub alts popping up. On my server there are a number of complainers who, well, complain. Their arguements range from why would a group choose me? I do only 60-20 more dps than a troub and can't buff etc etc. Much like the guardian's whining about berzerkers. Something's going to happen soon, nerf/infinity troubs/scout class tweak who knows. </DIV>

The search requires at least 2 letter and %% works as a wildcard.
