View Full Version : Calrity char trait = Master Bria's

So given the training options for the new character traits based on your profession, one of the ones I chose was The Clarity power regen song. It basically is the same as a Bria's - 3:00 duration and regen's 10mana/tic, uses 1 conc.So essentially it is a free Master level upgrade (and it boosts Int to boot). But, you can still sing Bria's as well and they both provide their boost. So for 2 conc you can become a walking power station. At 16 mana per tic, the regen is pretty noticeable in combat.I would imagine the stat increase song also stacks with Raxyl's/Rousing and could make a Troub a stat buff god. Since I feel like the default song set available to me makes buffing fighters much easier than casters (stats/attack speed/songsters if we are vastly overclassed or underclassed by mobs). Having 2 power regen songs gives me more options in caster heavy groups. I can lay on both power regen songs and feel like I am getting more use out of my conc than I would otherwise.

<DIV>From my testing the power songs effect does not stack and they each take a concentration point. The clarity song is also not as good a Bria's Thrilling ballad that you get at 26. It's worse by 2pts/tic from my testing. Big waste of a training selection imo.</DIV>

I'll have to check again later - could have sworn I was getting different power updates....

<DIV>Moe is right, the clarity song is actually worse than Bria's Thrilling Ballad by a point or two per tick, and it takes slightly more power to cast. Worst thing is that the effects don't stack, so it's basically a total waste. I don't understand why they would even offer it. I sure hope the non-stacking effects thing is a bug that can be fixed, otherwise the song is a waste.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>On the bright side, I do like my new root song. </DIV>

<DIV>it stacks with my adept 3 bria thrilling ballad and if you read up it does say it s a slightly higher lvl then the bria stirring ballad</DIV> <DIV>how much no idea guess 2 to 3 points of power but 3 points of power and the adept 3 thrilling 11 points makes 14 not to shabby.</DIV> <DIV>it a shame thay could not make the bria line slightly more powerfull from the beging rather then a add on.</DIV>
<DIV>Don't forget it increases INT. Gotta figure that into the equation when comparing the two songs.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>We seem to have conflicting opinions. Does the character trait stack with brias? I have to say i'm having difficulty seeing a difference when I have them both up.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Kyrax</DIV>

<DIV>Actualy i am seeign a 1-2 percent increase int he regen. you migth want to check your figures on it. Remeber whhen timein the mana regen tank in hand the mutliple lvl of ticks, and speed that they come, for example</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>if a players mana is at 100, and the first increast increment is 2, then 17, that gives a total regen of 19, but when timeign the first tick you can see that the first tick, comes quicker before the second, lets say by 1-2 seconds, then folllows the second again that you see an double increase of the first tick. with both going i see 3 ticks consectivly not 2.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Edit: also take in hand the players natrual regen rate, and if there regen rate is beign altered by other means, look at Percentages other then the numbers youll see a diffrence.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Dafunkk on <span class=date_text>01-10-2005</span> <span class=time_text>09:15 AM</span>
<DIV>From what I can tell...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Clarity chant: 14int 6power/tick</DIV> <DIV>Bria's Thril (app3 or adept1): 8power/tick</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you have both songs up you have 14int and 8power/tick. So unless you really want to buff people's ints by 14 I'd stick with Bria's Thrilling. But if you only have Stirring (4/tick at adept1) then go with Casandra's.</DIV>
<DIV>you guys must have chose your trait before they changed it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Actual ingame text states.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>blah blah blah, charb's translation blah blah blah</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>clarity is a upgrade to bria's stirring ballad, it acts as a ADEPT 2.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>ingame it actually says " upgrade to bria's " and " adept 2 quality "</DIV>
I notice a difference when having both up so I think they stack. Any up-to-date info about this available?

<DIV>Thinking it stacks because you feel it does really doesn't cut it. </DIV> <DIV>Easiest thing to do is have no buffs up or food, hit run to drop your power way down and watch the power tic up and note the amount.</DIV> <DIV>Run Bria's the next time and note amount.</DIV> <DIV>Run Clarity song and note amount.</DIV> <DIV>Run both and note amount.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Running both will NOT add any more power regen, but it will add a few INT (like bards care about INT).</DIV> <DIV>Cassindras Clarity is a complete waste for any bard 26+ or close to 26 since Bria's Thrilling at App1 is 2pts better.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Niv's is great (given it still stacks and I hope to god it stays that way), and there is a low level flank attack that has a good initial damage and an excellent mental damage dot that I still use at 33. It's grey, but it does better overall damage the other flank attacks on the same timer.</DIV>
