Luck Blade

<DIV>Is it just me or is this spell pretty useless.  at adept 1 it does like 100 damage.  considering the effort required to use it, taffos sure seems to make luck blade a wasted slot.  how much better does it get at higher levels?</DIV>

<DIV>I got lucky and picked up a master 1 luckblade for very cheap.  At lvl 26 it hits for at least 200 every time and usually 260-290 range.  Its worth upgrading.</DIV>

Comparing my 3 highest hitting melee attacks at lvl 21 (all at adept 1), the very lowest hits i get with luckblade are still noticably higher than my very highest hits with taffo's and sparkling blade. My highest hits with luckblade are about twice what i generally get with taffo's. Additionally, unlike taffo's it can be used from the front when tanking/soloing. So in general it does more damage than piercing shriek and takes about the same time to cast. If you use it as your first attack in battle (stealth before) it takes much less time to cast.<BR><BR>So, no, you're not going to use it every fight all the time, but to call it a waste seems rather short sighted. <DIV>I use luck blade when they pull mobs.  I stealth while someone is out getting the mob and when he gets to use I spring from the shadows and attack.  Then debuff and start cranking out the damage.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Solo I hardly ever use it.  I pull with singing shot at max distance and then cast Piercing Shriek which I can get off about the time the mob gets to me.  This gives me more damage before I engage the mob then using luck blade while solo.  Not a good idea when someone is pulling or you will get agro. </DIV>
