<DIV> <P><FONT face="Times New Roman" color=#ffffff size=3>Got great news for you guys the Songster’s Luck buff is bugged BUT far from useless…I did some tests last night and the thing is if you apply all the buffs that increase your stats (Rousing Tune, Raxxyl’s, etc) and AFTER<SPAN>  </SPAN>that you play Songster’s Luck you do get a lot more than the measly 4- 6 points. I tried only with Rousing first then Songter’s and I got a 12 points increase in Attack...then I tried Rousing+Raxxyl’s and after that Songster’s and I got something around 30 points increase in attack (im at work so my number are at home but if not exact its really close)…so it looks like Songster’s checks your STR only before it is casted and not any subsequent increases. So just cast it LAST after all your other buffs and you’ll be ok. <SPAN> </SPAN>(btw all my arts are adept 1) SONGSTER’S LUCK IS BACK!!!</FONT></P></DIV>

<DIV>The 4-6 mentioned before was 'skill' increase- it still is 6 for master on skill.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Attack for me- even after all my buffs is +10. - for 2 slots.. its still not worth it with the other tools I have.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Bel</DIV>

<DIV>At 27 it turns white(con)and adds 7 to skill now(at master1).</DIV> <DIV>After casting all buffs first- Giving me 101 str 155 agi 89 sta... adept1 to adept3 in buffs.</DIV> <DIV>Then I cast songsters absolutely last- it's not giving a huge bonus- still not worth 2 slots regardless.</DIV> <DIV>Must just be me.</DIV> <DIV>Checked it again this morning just incase... My 464 atk goes up to 476. so +12 (and yes, it was cast very last)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Bel</DIV> <P><SPAN class=time_text></SPAN> </P><p>Message Edited by BelphagorAD on <span class=date_text>12-15-2004</span> <span class=time_text>10:50 AM</span>

There are lots of display bugs (I hope it's just display) associated with attack rating. I did the tests using rousing tune (adept1), raxxyl's energizing harmony (adept1) and songster's luck (app2) as a lvl 31 troub..My base attack rating was 502, after casting rousing and raxxyl's it was still at 502. After casting songster's it went to 533. When I cancelled songster's it went to 527. After cancelling rousing it went to 517. After cancelling raxxyl's it went to 503 (instead of 502 where it started). My base attack randomly changed between 503-502 during the tests depending on the order in which i cancelled the buffs.Apparently rousing and raxxyl's do increase attack rating, but it's not updated till you zone. Casting raxxyl's and rousing and then zoning updates your display correctly listing the increased attack. Alternatively casting songsters forces a displayupdate, hence the misconception about it giving +30. At lvl 31 I'm getting only 6 attack from songsters.

All I know is this...At level 26 with Master I songster's Luck on I can basically avoid ever getting hit by level 22 green double-up mobs.If I remove songster's luck and replace it with any other skills using up those two concentration points I am likely to die.So if you want to believe it does nothing, fair enough. My personal experience would make me disagree, however.<p>Message Edited by aeiouy on <span class=date_text>12-16-2004</span> <span class=time_text>12:25 PM</span>

<DIV>aeiouy the point is not if it helps or not, the point is do we have bugs related to the way buff are displaying their effects, and is the effect of songter's luck worth the 2 points of conc?...also remember we are not supposed to get master upgrades for all our skills for them to work. btw Im very glad you got a master 1 !</DIV>

I consider the margin between never getting hit and dying to be fairly substantial. So for me it is definately worth the two concentration spots. I have tried out ever other combination of skills I have and none of them make that big of a difference.

Combining songster's luck with ministrel's fortune I do notice a pretty big difference when fighting green mobs. Fighting tougher stuff though, I can't really say if it's worth 4 slots or not.

Actually I take it back... after doing a bit more testing it seems that Raxxyl's combined with Rousing is noticeably more effective in combat with whites/blues. With both songs on I get hit quite a bit less than using Songsters+Ministrel.

<DIV>Look youre competence i agree u can cast the 2 but it is a waste of concentration. Just the better of the 2 is effective</DIV>
