<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v134/bholloway/gloryempire.jpg">There is something going on with the orcs. They seem to be planning an attack on Freeport. Well, they always do that. But now they seem to have allies. Your jobFirst you must kill an Orc Runner. These quick running orcs pass messages between the patrols and camps along the south wall of the Commonlands. The message reveals that the Dervish Cutthroats are in league with the orcs! The message requests a bard from the Dervishes to help get an orc war party ready for battle. The Freeport bards will send one of their own - you - as a Dervish - to meet with an Orc named Dranok. He will sneak you into a hidden war camp, but you must keep the orc war party distracted by singing the rousing war song Glory of the Empire to get them in the mood. Dranok meanwhile will be sneaking around the back, as he is not well liked by the current Orc commanders.Dranok does not think you look like a Dervish. He will ask you some questions - remember! You are a Dervish! Dranok is just an Orc! Treat him with disdain. He will put a bag over your head and lead you to a hidden valley. Orcish siege engines abound, and quite a few orcs that have no love for bards, Dervish or otherwise. Memorize Dranok's song, and take a swig of ale, for you have to make these Orcish words sing. Be sneaky and find the waiting war party. When Dranok sees you arrive, he will start walking slowly around the back of the encampent. Keep the orcs distracted! Sing and do not let the song stop! You are a bard and this is your audience. When you are successful and the orcs have rushed off to die gloriously in the service to their lost Empire, find Dranok behind the building to your left. You have convinced him. Return to Freeport and reveal your valuable information, and step out a Troubador, with a song of praise to the Overlord in your heart, and Glory to the Empire echoing in the alleyways.-- Dina Tangle, Halfling Troubador of Freeport, Faydark server<p>Message Edited by Tipa on <span class=date_text>12-06-2004</span> <span class=time_text>05:18 PM</span>

<DIV>To anyone who thinks this is just a walk in the park like the poster has, you are in for a surpise.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>there is about 50 bajillion orcs here, all level 40 aggro which do not like you.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>CAREFULLY (which I stress) make your way to the center of the buildings, this is where you have the line of orcs shown in the picture.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>after you finish spamming the "orc war song" or whatever it may be, the orcs leave. however more RESPAWN in their place. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As I ran to talk to the npc to complete it, I got mauled by a group of orcs.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>luckily if you die, complete task, and finish hallmark, upon completion of hallmark you automatically get your shard back.</DIV>

Anyone know if the spell for the glory of the empire is usable for anything else except the quest?

I completed the quest at lvl18 and did not walk out a troubador. What level should you be to do this quest? Mitsya told me to come back later.

<DIV>well, you completed the hallmark, thats taken care of.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Once you hit 20, you will become a troub, thing is if you don't complete the hallmark you'll get capped and won't be leveling past 20 until you do the hallmark.</DIV>
