<DIV>Ok, </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As it always was in eqlive, most people seem to do nothing else than moan in this game as well.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I am reading that people want dual wield for a troubadour, and complain about 1001 other things!!!!!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you read the everquest 2 manuall it clearly makes a (to me) clear difference between a dirge and a troubadour. It is a little like the difference in eqlive, one is a defensive version and one is an offensive version. So that is why we get a 1 hander as a quest weapon, because indeed we should use a shield and a 1 hander...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, in my guild they more or less beg me to join their group. Why?? Because I have one of the best spells in game, bria's stirring ballad, and haste...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>They also insisted in me getting the power regen spell in adept 3 version... When I had adept 1, we had almost no downtime with a group of 4-5 people in the 20-24 range hunting mighty Griffons. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Guys, we as a troubadour we are a defence group player. We are not fighters, nor healers, nor damage dealers. We are there to make sure that a group overall can take bigger mobs, kill them quicker and most important, stay longer alive...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>SO moaning about not having a heal spel, or a high damage spell or not being able to wear vanguard armour... If you still dont understand after lvl 15-20 what a troubadour is all about, I would like to suggest to swap and consider playing someone that suits you better...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Have a fun all playing everquest2, which in my opinion is a great game and make us troubadours proud when you are out there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Astragoth lvl 20 TROUB on the mistmoore server</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>"la vita et bella"</DIV>

It's the same class... And don't give me any "Yeah but Freeportians are evil" stuff.</STRONG></DIV> <DIV><STRONG></STRONG> </DIV> <DIV>While our class is already good, as you say, and needed in groups, there are still some issues with the class, both major and minor. I suggest you have a loot at <A href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=36&message.id=91" target=_blank>this thread</A>.</DIV>

<DIV>Yeah, people need to realize this is not heavy armour, super damage, uber class that EQ1 was, a bard = support, drop the class and leave guys if you can't realize that.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>there are valid discusions here and there aren't.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Most ppl seem to be complaining in my opinion, In case ya didn't know, there was this thing called "beta" were some of us tested the game and gave feedback on the playability of the game and classes.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>Beta was ended way prematurely, and I had feedbacked alot of the complaints and suggestions I list in my feedback thread.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Class still needs work, not in terms of balancing, but it terms of gameplay. I rarely, if ever, see people complain about their troubador, other than in regards to gameplay issues.</DIV>

<DIV>I like my troub but i think that we have some legitimate complaints.  I'm not expecting to be dps but if we are buffers then we should have a noticable difference on a group.  I think one time in my 24 levels i have had someone say "wow that buff is nice" this shouldn't be the case.  If you don't like the thread don't read it.</DIV>

<DIV>I've actually had only one person comment on my buff's, but i think its just everyone taking it for granted.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When someone's looking for groups, they look for Tank, Healer, and Magic user.. Scouts are accepted usually only as fill ins, or in the case of dungeons, trap openers.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Tanks are made to take the damage</DIV> <DIV>Healers are made to heal damage</DIV> <DIV>Magic users are there to cause most damage</DIV> <DIV>Scouts are there to be a class that's evasive, with fast attacks</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Honestly, considering Troubadors from Freeport get a dual weild dagger. Why Troubadors from Qeynos would get a One hand slash confuses me.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Having a lower Armor Class than a Cleric, and with all skills revolving mostly around Flanking or Being Behind/Hidden.. The thought of us using a Sword & Sheild, (where the sheild being obviously for the reason of helping to obsorb hits) makes no sense. We do not need the sheild, our skills and agility prevent us from getting hit. If Troubadors were required to be thought of as a one hand slash with a sheild.. We'd have a lot higher ac, more strength, and less agility.. Clerics have a longer lifespan being hit by a mob than a scout would. </DIV>

<DIV>Scout are near indispensable in dunjeon crawling ( coin for oh, disarm trap, often forget but very usefull track, evac, sneak for scout or rez all the team after a wipe(scout regenerate and with a feather go rez cleric etc...)).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Bard especialy are very groupe friendly.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><STRONG><U>BUT WE ARE A DPS CLASS NO A BUFFER/SUPPORT ONE</U></STRONG></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>(at level34 i dps a LOT more than all fighter and im near wizar /warlock .not if a wiz spend a lot of mana but in normal fight .with 2 weapon i do 1,8k dmg in 1 minute just with auto attack (and hast and without calculate miss) 350+ with the 2 dd shout(6sec cast for the 2: 3+ 3, recast time 10 sec) and 250+ with my melee style. I know wiz can do twice that in 1 minute but in power/dps we are sticking together. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>ps I forget troub weapon process for 120 dmg </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>ps: all this test are done on level 34(my levle) mob without debuff of other class</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV><p>Message Edited by Sethis on <span class=date_text>12-06-2004</span> <span class=time_text>05:04 PM</span>

<DIV>Everquest and EQLive are one and the same. They started calling it "EQLive" near Luclin era, when they changed the webpage to Everquestlive.com.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As for his comment referring to EQLive -- it was merely saying people don't change. He wasn't actually referencing anything in comparison gamewise.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So, uh..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Continue with your fancy italizations and stuff!</DIV>

We are not tanks, nor are we supposed to tank, therefore a shield would be just decoration to lower dps. Not only that but qeynos troub is the only bard subclass w/o a dual wield weapon for their halmark, even the fp troub gets a dual weild version... Defensive vs offensive spells has nothing to do with the wepons we equip.

<DIV>Sword and shield I think is still beneficial for soloing.  But yeah, in groups, you will want to duel wield.  Just get you 2 nice duel wielder and carry around a shield when soloing.</DIV>
