View Full Version : Track working correctly?
Too lazy to search the other scout boards, but has anyone else noticed Red mobs do not appear on track since they changed the con of some mobs? This pic is an example, I'm standing next to red mobs, yet they don't appear on my track window. And I do not have red filtered out.Anyone else experience this?
Message Edited by Olodin on 12-02-2004 09:06 PM
Tracking seems bugged to me. I have been led to spots in dungeons where the mob I am tracking is supposed to be but is not there. This has happened even when I refresh the track and it will still led to a spot on the floor right in front of me where there is no mob. If the mob was invis and my see invis skill didn't detect it (since that skill never seems to go up) that might be the answer but the mob was an aggro one so if he was there he should have attacked me. Others I have talked to say the tracking skill is buggy. Looks like another job for the everfix team!

The only red mobs that will appear on track are guards. It's always been this way, it's just more apparent now that mobs you could track before you now cannot because they've become red.As for track leading you to an empty spot, that is because the mob is under the world or otherwise bugged. It has nothing to do with tracking itself.

Off topic...

Olodin, that is a one sweet display set-up. Would you mind telling us how you got more than three hotbars on the screen? I have three full hotbars and I'm having trouble with space as I get new spells. Also if you could post or pm me with your other key settings I would be grateful. Thanks.

I run at resolution: 2048 x 1536. As for the set up, anyone can do it, just takes time to set it up.As for the many hotbard, just right click on any hot bar and click "Open New Hotbar"What "other key settings did you mean?"
Oh as for the only red mobs that appear on track are guards? Nice try here's a pic.Pic of Busted TrackSomething is wrong with not being able to see red mobs.Something is broken. Call it a hunch, call me **mods 4 teh win!!1!**, I say something is busted!
Message Edited by Olodin on 12-03-2004 09:06 PM

That is not a guard NPC in the last pic, that is a sentry NPC. The difference is the sentry types are attackable (default action crossed swords instead of chat bubble). Therefore, the game sees them no different from red conning expereince granting mobs that people typically engage in groups.

The above poster is correct. It was stated in beta that red mobs are not trackable with the exception of guards (actual guards that will assist you if you call for help, with chat bubble as default action on mouseover).
