<DIV> <DIV>I'm happy that I could either be a Dirge or Troubadour since both are neutral but I'm torn as to which to be.  I was wondering if someone could go through the pro's / con's on each one.  If not, which one has mezz or both do?  Also, which would be easier to solo later in game?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Regards,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Aspen</DIV></DIV>

<DIV>Have no idea about Dirges, never played one <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Biggest difference to me seems to be Dirges are more based off fear and extra damage in forms of DoT and poison, where Troubador gets more group oriented buffs and mob debuffs in the shape of drains and defence debuffs. You can look at the spell lists for both types at <A href="http://www.thescoutssanctuary.com/" target=_blank>http://www.thescoutssanctuary.com/</A> when it comes back up over the weekend.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I know that Troubador get's a mezz at 50, but I don't think Dirge gets one at all. Neither off the bard subclasses get very much in the way of CC all together.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'd guess that they're equally poor soloers, especially if you plan to take on groups of mobs. Low HP, low defence and no CC does not a good soloer make <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Sure I can solo whites and some yellows with hardly any trouble at 26, but compared to grouping it's very slow and VERY boring <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>
