<DIV>What I've found so far is that most of the songs I play at 23 are the base class ones of bard...Merciless Melody, Rousing Tune and Bria's Ballad - which got as Adept 3 now..(woo 4 mana a tick *gags*). Main Usefull song is Arcane Chorus which taunts pretty much anything the group is fighting onto you instantly. This can save a caster...but is only viable if you've got good armor. </DIV>
just what I was looking forward to -- becoming a punching bag again! woowoo!

<DIV>Agree. I play Bria's and Merciless all the time...but I barely even touch the rest of my songs (to make sure I still have conc slots for refreshes or Arcane to taunt or Discante if we're fighting multiples). I feel like I've barely gotten anything useful since my early teens...a level 14 bard could probably take my place in group and they'd hardly know the difference. I can only hope it improves as I level...getting pretty darn frustrated still spamming Quick Strike/Sparkling Blade/Sneak Attack for most of my damage!</DIV>

It gets better. Most of the songs in the early 20s are very situational, but the damage proc is really nice and our songs really improve from then on in.I would suggest people stay positive if at all possible about our class. Yes there are some things that need attention, but saying that our class sucks is just going to get our class a bad reputation and make it harder for us all to get groups, even though our class isn't actually broken and some of us think it is actually on its way to being one of the best in the game.
<DIV>The bard become more powerfull at level26 , before that you are not so effective(new DDlevl26, regen power level27 and, the drain power level2<img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><STRONG><FONT color=#000000 size=2>29<FONT color=#ffffff> - Alins Melodic Refrain - Ranged mental damage effects to all enemies in an encounter its very power full i did 130/ monster (adept I)</FONT></FONT></STRONG></DIV> <DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2></FONT></STRONG> </DIV> <DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2>Chantebrume. troubadour levl 30</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV>Does the higher level power regen actually help? The low level one does not seem to be even marginally effective. Songster's luck doesn't seem to do anything at all. Not sure merciless melody actually does increase attack speed. It does not seem noticible if it does. I am just not getting the feel these songs are worth it at all. Also, so far I have seen only 1 song drop while in groups and there seem to be many songs that do not drop at all as they are never for sale. I have never seen a Bria's Stirring Ballad for sale and the app1 doesn't seem to do anything at all except make my bard shake his butt like George Micheal in his Faith video.</DIV>

<DIV>Bria's Stiring Ballad does drop... I bought the App2 version and then the app3 verson... then bought the Adept3 version... so yeah that doesn't explain how I know it drops...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But I have seen the Adept1 for sale a few times <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have tried to measure the mana regen... the "ticks" seem to not change in amount... from bria-less to bria-adept3... which confuses the hell outta me... the only thing I can think of is that maybe the frequency of the ticks increases.... but it's hard to watch a clock and measure the "ticks" at the same time.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I see a difference... unable to measure and quantify it... but I DO SEE IT.</DIV>
<DIV>I picked up the Bria's Stirring Ballad Adept 1 from a broker today, for 65s. So, it does exist <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<DIV>Bria's Thrilling Ballad (Level 27.6) Returns a base of about 0.75% of your power per tick. This return is not a set number but of your max power. If you have 1000 power, its 7 mana a tick (rounded down). If you upgrade to Adept 3 (Which I did right away) it bumps up to about a 0.95% return per tick, so on 1000 power it'll return 9 (rounded down). In a group buffed I have about 1250 mana, and durring this time its returning 12 power per tick. Thrilling Ballad is a great song...with an enchanter tossing breeze alongside it its very hard to run out of power.</DIV>
