<DIV>I am a level 68 brig on Venekor.  Currently I my aa lines are:  Wis - 4 8 8 8 and Str - 4 4 8 0 0.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I mainly do small group pvp, instance runs, and casual raiding (although the raiding is starting to pick up more).  I am looking for something to balance above average damage with good defence.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I was thinking of respecing to: Sta - 4 4 4 8 8 and Str - 4 4 8 5.  I was thinking this setup would give me good defence/extra HP with some decent offensive bonuses mixed in.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I would like to hear any (helpful) thoughts on this. I have all 50 points available to spend in the rogue tree.  If you think a different build would work better for what I am trying to accomplish, I would appreciate to hear your thoughts on why.  Thanks in advance.</DIV>

i think... str - 4 4 4 8 and wis - 4 4 4 8 1(<img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> would be good for dps and defense.you get your crit % up and some defense from str; have lunge reversal, the added riposte, double attack, and the increased skills from the wis line.seems like a good combo to me.<div></div>

<DIV>So you took Coule' instead of Traumatic Swipe?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I can tank any of the EoF group instances, like OoB or Valdoon's.</DIV> <DIV>I can even solo the 2 to 3 vampire groups inside Mistmoore Castle, at the entrance, without much of a problem. (lv 72-73 stuff).</DIV> <DIV>I also managed to solo the lv 70 triple up arrow heroic werewolf in LP.  Was a VERY close fight, but I won.</DIV> <DIV>I'll admit that in solo/group, traumatic swipe isnt useful.  An extra combat art, sure, but I usually only use it on raids, and then I find it to be highly useful.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>Meh, no desire for Coule here. I took Traumatic since we watch the AE timers and see all the difference it makes. While I would love to use those points in other places at times, it's not something I am likely to give up.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I really don't see a need for the STA line if you raid at all. I tank Tactician's Armor, among other things, with absolutely no issues using STR/WIS.  The fact is, if you aren't the MT or MA, it's likely you are going to die on raids before healers adjust if you take agro and can't drop it. If you want the extra for tanking groups, really, it's overkill. I guess it's everyone's own choice ultimately, but I don't see the reason is all. We do just fine without the STA line. Just my opinion though.</DIV>

<P>The real benefit in the STA line would be the extra 1200+ hp you'd get and the blocking.  Since blocking is uncontested you could get +5 shield, +4 for final AA in STA line and I think there is 2 adornments, each at +1 to block.  So a +11 to an uncontested block would be great for a tanking brigand.</P> <P>On the flip side, im sta/wis spec'd for raiding, but if I could lose swipe for coule I would.  Buy yourself the fabled adornment that has a heal buff every time you parry, combine that with the +8 to parry you get off the relic gloves and you'll wade through the greens and low blue with ease</P>
