Poet's definitely isn't what it used to be for Masters, based on tales I've heard.Had three there in now maybe 8 or 9 runs, and now 42 kills and counting (two mobs on L2, three rings on L3 including one reset and four nameds on L4, so 12 kills per run) without a Master drop, and only one Fable chest off the Eye (those WIS plate legs). I did get a Master off my first ring kill there though... kinda spoilt me <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />So far I had a 56 Dirge, 57 Bruiser and 58 Conjuror Master there.

<DIV>I got mine from the last guild I was with.  They had a mandatory turn-in-masters rule, and someone looted it, and turned it in.  I was the only brigand in the guild at the time, and, after seeing it in the update notes, immediately asked the guild leader if I could get it.  It was given to me, I scribed it, and have been tossing out master level dispatches for ... hrmm.. about a year now!  Didnt realize it had been that long since we were struggling to kill off Godking Anuk!</DIV>

50p?  /cry  We sold ours for 15, because we had absolutely no idea how much to charge.  No wonder it got snapped up right away.  And of course, now I'm levelling a brig with an eye to play her somewhat more seriously than my other alts, so I'm kicking myself over it.  More Poets farming!  Wonder if I'll see another Dispatch before I get a Tsunami...<div></div>

I've grown bitter and cynical concerning Dispatch, Double Up and Amazing reflexes M1's. Afaik none of them have dropped for any of my guildies since DoF came out. I've done more PP runs than i care to remember and i've gotten quite a few M1's... just not the ones i want. Right now i'm on a losing streak with 6 PP runs without a M1. My longest losing streak was 11-12 runs without an M1. I'll continue doing PP though. What else can i do (since i refuse to pay 50pp for a dispatch).

Regarding the ring resets in PP, you just wait around 2.5 hours and they repop. So if I'm watching a movie or something after one PP run I leave myself logged. Also, do PP in this order: L3 rings, L4 nameds, L2 statue mobs, then by the time you did the L4 and L2 stuff you have less time to wait.I'm on 60 kills now without a master, which is around 6 PP runs including multiple rings. But a guildie is getting drops so it's not bugged completely.

I do PP as a L70 brig and have only died once in a dozen runs or so to date, to the first statue ring named, when I didn't notice my poison ran out and was slacking on CAs.Here's what I recommend on spec:- Use STR-STA spec for the extra HP, block% and mit- Use sword and roundshield- Use defensive stance for the extra mit- Use vitality breach poison for heals and poison- On the brig AA lines go Tenure and get 5 AAs in vitality poison for +25% effect- Get cyclops L&L for the statue ring named, should work on him- Get Ruthless Cunning L35 DPS boost skill from Bloodline Chronicles On tactics:- Once you have access, invis to L3 first and do rings, they're easiest.- Invis between waves on ring events to regen. Cast as soon as last mob in group dead.- Be sure to stun, stun, stun. - On ring events with multiple mobs, double up your AoE- On nameds I use DPS and haste buff, then throwing CA and close with Band of Thugs, use 6s stun and do devitalise, rake, dispatch and double up from rear, then restrain and three rear attacks, then cheap shot and a couple more CAs, all of which take a big chunk of health before you even get hit.- If you do get in trouble, remember your snares - there's room to use themOn gear:- Make sure all skills are Adept III or better- Do try to get Claymore quest gear, especially the PoA rewards- Try to get on Labs pickup raids for good solo gear (raids like brigs!)In PP I'm now on 74 drops without a Master, hopefully my luck will change. But just one good rare Master will buy you better gear to solo with, e.g. a 1h velium weapon, Archaic Roundshield, etc, though I'm just using a velium spear and a standard ebony roundshield. On feign death, yes, tinkerer FD is handy if things go wrong.<p>Message Edited by Turb0T on <span class=date_text>02-06-2007</span> <span class=time_text>12:22 PM</span>

just wondering why you all have so much trouble with soloing pp :/only going into def stance for pp, and only for keeper i change to roundshield + 1 hander, dont use vitaly breach, use the thugs for keeper and ring events.the 3 "named" mobs in 4th floor are a piece of cake: restrain -> devi, rake, disp, double -> deceitfull blow -> stab, disemb, sideswipe, assault -> walk the plank -> shrouded -> dead mob :oand yes, use especially deceitfulness for the keeper for extra stuns <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> and begin with flashy throw.<div></div>

<DIV>I have been soloing this as a level 70 STR/AGI Brigand the last few days.  I got the 55 berserker knockdown (upgrades at 69... blah) and the 58 assassin ancient teaching (not bad) my last run.  The run before I got a fabled cloth helm (tradable) but nothing else but a truckload of braclets of glimmering fury.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I immediately go to the 3rd level and do the 3 ring events.  Yes invis in between each wave.  The encounters are either 10 arrow downs, 6 arrow downs and 2 solo mobs, 4 ^ mobs, or 2 ^^ and 1 ^.  Then the cobra's, which are either 2^^ or ^^^ & ^.    These are all 62'ish.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I then go upstairs, and kill the 3 named in the room there.  The only one that's remotely hard is the nightblood, and he's a pretty fast takedown with nightblood sinister strike.  I then go to the Keeper.  I'll throw up Ruthless Cunning & Deceitfulness, then run at him casting stealth.  He should hit you once, which allows you to use your stealth strike.  HO, Ruckus, Restrain, dispatch devitalize, rake, double - up thugs deceitful blow stab disembowel.  At this point he should be at about 40% life.  Make sure to keep him targeted as his adds can taunt.  After that... malicious assault revoke shrouded blade ruse.  If he's not dead at this point hideaway from him, elude one of the adds.  Those 2 should attack your thugs until the duration runs out.  You can then underground negotiations (yes I save it until now so that I can elude an add if I have to)  shrouded blade, cheap shot, single back attack.  At this point if he's STILL alive (RNG hates you) restrain should be coming back up.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>He casts a stun, and a stifle from what I've seen.  So always be in offensive stance, and keep the stuns handy.  Nothing is worse than being stunned right at the beginning and losing 6 seconds of nonaction.</DIV> <DIV><BR>After this go down and do the statues (boy that's annoying).  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Then make a sandwich, take a nap, paint your nails and clean the gutters.  Then you can go back up to level 3 and the beetles may have respawned <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you're having trouble with the Keeper, do your Rallos Zek diety quest.  Retribution of whatnot is 5 shots of 6,000 damage.  You should be getting 1 no-trade legendary / fabled t6 item per run, and like 6 bracelets of glimmering fury, which would cover the 1k faction cost if you need to use this in a pinch.  </DIV> <P>Message Edited by Nitanyspirit on <SPAN class=date_text>02-06-2007</SPAN> <SPAN class=time_text>08:44 AM</SPAN></P><p>Message Edited by Nitanyspirit on <span class=date_text>02-06-2007</span> <span class=time_text>08:46 AM</span>

Yeah, I normally double up restrain and dispatch for the extra stun and damage.I guess I should look to see if the mob is dead before dispatch runs out to make a more informed choice, and how often malicious assault is hitting both times.

Yeah, thinking about it probably only Keeper lasts long enough. The others are usually dead within the 14-16 or so seconds of stuns and CAs from the opening attack. The annoying thing about some of those mobs is their 'helpers' taunt, so you end up stunning the add not the named :p
