View Full Version : 30% AE Radius Reduction bugged?

On world wide brigand chat I heard that this ability wasn't working properly, and after testing it myself I have been noticing that the AE radius doesnt seem to be shortened at all. I'm not good with graphs or data charts so I was wondering if someone else has any to back this up, or has been experiencing the same problem. If this AA is currently bugged could we please have a dev response to confirm this, or a heads up that its being looked into.<div></div>

<P>Yep I have a post started in the achievements section feel free to post there.</P> <P>I respecced and took that point out and some points out of revoke and put points in sneak instead so perma casting skewer is worthwhile and not dps hindering:smileyvery-happy: ! </P>

<P>Reduces sneak by by half (1 second at max) recast is still 10s, so i made a macro... </P> <P>/usea sneak</P> <P>/usea skewer</P> <P>and only a couple times did it have problems insta firing. I end up having to hover over Skewer, waiting on it to not cast and click it myself, once the Hideaway cast is completed. <div></div>well, it's one of three things:1) autoattack is still on so stealth is automatically broken2) your macro is not queueing the abilities properly3) you're getting hit before skewer goes off and no longer in stealth to use skeweredit: it may also be that you were already casting a combat art when you pushed the macro, which could mess up the queueing of your abilities. i've found with macros like this, you have to take a short pause between casting and when you use the macro for it to work correctly... kind of like using manastone or some of the items from your hotbar. i think it might have something to do with the recovery timer.<div></div><p>Message Edited by Crimson Dragon on <span class=date_text>01-23-2007</span> <span class=time_text>05:49 AM</span>

Well, it could be a bug with autoattack I suppose. It's supposed to turn off and appears to. The macro worked for months and months, then just stopped all of a sudden. I was guessing it to be more of a function of fast cast or recovery time buffs, but I had no proof of that. Something definitely started happening out of nowhere though, may be one of the things listed, but my testing hasn't been in depth. I'll play around with it more tonight...but some of the things listed - no chance, some quite possible. i believe it's just a probleming with queueing abilities. i've been trying to que my skewer while casting stealth, and it just doesn't go off sometimes. i end up having to go back and click it again. might be worth a /bug.<div></div>
Noticed too, but I wonder (not in game now so can't check) if it's a range thing... I notice when it doesn't fire if I move closer to the mob it will. So perhaps when you Sneak or Lie Low you're not in Skewer range, or the tank moves the mob a bit?Now I know others are seeing this I'll test more <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />One place to test the 30% range thing would be AoAx2 with that named that spawns two adds per person in AoE range when it AoE's... usually the range is at the border of the coloured tiles. You could experiment there and see the actual reduction, if any, quite clearly.

well actually, used it on talendor lately and still got adds when ppl went nearer to mob than max healing range... so much to "working as intended", but creating some mastery strike stuff which could be easily done with a macro (dont get me wrong i like that system, tho the whole l&l questing should be improved aswell, like increasing drop rate of mobs for the update items and auto updates) is more important than fixing some real problems (lags in zones, looking into certain aa trees and aa abilities...)<div></div>

that sucks i was looking forward to using this aa ability on raids. hopefully it gets fixed by the time i have my brig to 70.
