Who doesnt like the fact that a brigand can pretty much strip a mob nakkie? </P> <P>Basicly, aside from the hate transfer and the coat poison listed above, assassins do nothing more then raw damage, using a combination of flanking, stealth, flanking+stealth attacks to do it. This causes the assassins to rely more on groups then a brigand would. Brigands arent going to kill a mob as quick, but have a better survivablity rate when soloing.<BR></P>

sadly they do.sad, because it's created a "flavor-of-the-month" brigand boom.we liked our low profile.<div></div>

<DIV>Brigands are quite over the top in PvP endevours.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Assassins have their decapitate but relying on one skill isn't my thing.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Brigands are going to pull like 1.4k dps or so in raids, if you don't suck.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Assassins are going to pull like 2k dps or so in raids, if you don't suck.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But yes, Brigands are quite the "flavour of the month"</DIV>

to return to the same thing i say about dps parses every time the topic comes up, it depends on group buffs. brigands with haste, dps, and proc buffs from groupmates will parse higher. the same goes for any other melee class, including assassins.to assign a static "{class} parses {number}" to any class is not only wrong, but also useless to anyone who doesn't know what the classes are. they're going to look at that number, say, "hey that's bigger" and then play the class based on parses you've seen on your raid setups. realistically, they're going to spend the first 68 or so levels not raiding if they raid at all beyond that. they may never hit 2000 dps for any extended period in all of their time as that class. also, talking about dps parses also doesn't answer the question of what a class does.assassins - huge damage attacks, many from stealth or behind.brigands - medium damage attacks; defensively crippling attacks.<div></div>

<P>thanks guys.... i think im going to go with brig... i like the idea of huge dps but the brig seems to be all around more interesting to play... brigs also seem to be more wanted in grps as well... </P> <P> </P> <P>this is all based on your input so i could change my mind in game but thanks for the help...</P>

If you are playing on pvp then brigand is THE class to play. You will pwn n00bz in the face.

<DIV>If I was playing a tank class. Unless I was going for a specific named mob or something. I'd pick an Assassin over a Brigand most of the time for an XP group. An assassin can actually help the tank hold aggro, and will boost my dps with their apply poison. A brigand is going to be nothing but trouble, pulling aggro all the time, tanking the mob, trouble I tell you.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Yeah, expect to tank unless you have a Paladin with Master Amends on you, especially in heroic content.Hate generation is the bane of my existence, as a Brigand.
