<DIV>I read before that some brigands were doing 1k dps i was wondering how you were doing that. im running a lvl 70 brigand ratonga. i got two fabled weapons ands starting the avast ye aa im debating going sailwind or not. i know im only maybe parsing about 700 at the most. and most of my combat arts i have are adept 3 or master 1s. Im just trying to figure out ways to up my dps i normaly spam my cas. ive been trying to combine runious rake with disembowl with my double up not sure if that does most of the dmg. but i use to be on the top all the time of the parser with my conjurer and i want to make out assains work more to hold there spots but any help would be greatly appracatied.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Airies/exacutionar</DIV>

<DIV>get a better group setup, make use of your self buffs (and get ruthless cunning from bloodlines), mash buttons faster? should be fairly easy to surpass 700dps even unbuffed</DIV>

Your post leaves very little info. DPS has many factors, 2 fabled weapons dont mean squat, what weapons are you actually using. How many aa's do you have and what you have them set in. What classes were you grouped with. What zone you were in. How much dps your raid was doin. What kinda of connection do you have/how many other guilds were in that zone to lag you. All these can attribute to dps.

<P>I got ruthless cunning and the t7 one. the t7 one is master 1. do you guys normaly spam both of these when they are up or just one at a time? these are both short durration abilites too if i remember correctly. but i might have to try spaming them in. and as the group set up and what im using i will have to post what i got when i get to my account. thanks so far for the help.</P> <P> </P> <P>airies/exacutionar</P>

<P>700 is very low for a brigand. I usually average 1.1k and i'm in str/wis lines with frostwrath. The other brigand uses 2 dws and is in str/agi and averages 1.2k... well just short.</P> <P>All I can suggest is to get a better group makeup and spam your CAs faster? Usually I start off with dispatch > ruinous rake > devitalize > double up > evade > rest of my CAs to try and get them all off while dispatch is up. The more CAs you can get off while dispatch is up the better.</P> <P>I'd also make sure you have 8 in melee crits too because they help. Melee crit potion helps as well.</P>

<P>Well maxing out crits and avest ya will net you some dps. There are a lot better daggers then the ones you have. I'm not even gonna bother with your group setup since you cant remember if you had a bard or not. Also what zone were you in. My zone wide parse for HoS is much > then my zonewide in labs.</P>
<DIV>are you all mastered spelled? are the people giving you buffs mastered? are you using the best posions? the best fabled?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>if you get all things right with you your group your raid you can hit 2k from time to time...alot goes into it</DIV>

Our DPS varies greatly depending on group makeup. I'm spec'd str/wis using the ancient vorpal blade, when I'm in a raid group of (dirge, inquisitor, monk, bruiser, berserker, brigand) my auto-attack DPS is often 700 dps, my overall DPS varies between 1300 to 1600 DPS with spikes to 1900 DPS.

<DIV>Here's some info to get higher dps.</DIV> <DIV>First, max your str. crit AA...not only does it help your weapons hit harder, your CA's crit more and that is always a good thing</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Next: If you dual wield, I prefer max proc in the agi line, but I wield the GDH and it has a slow delay (good for procs)...Sailwind, imho, sucks and isnt worth the AA.</DIV> <DIV>If you wanna do the one-hander thing, max that in Wisdom line and get a fabled one hander, not worth swapping to wisdom if you have 2 fabled daggers and no fabled one-hander. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Possibility: If you take traumatic swipe, I believe you are out of points, but I didnt (no rogues in my guild did...i dont really know why) and I put rest of my points in Boot Dagger cuz as I see it, we Rogues have a decent stealth attack that refreshes every TEN SECONDS! So at least Boot Dagger gets Skewer in our CA spam line.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Checkpoint: Get the best skills you can, Master is better (duh!) Adept3 will work. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Combat: Fire off Devitalize and Rake ASAP and then Disembowel and Stab...then, start on a line of CA's and keep hitting them as they re-spam. I dont know about you guys, but shrouded blade doesnt make it onto our list, cuz I'm gonna go crazy and assume that the shamans have attack speed debuff capped. It takes the spam time and doesnt do enough damage. I would love some thoughts on this.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I go Devit, Rake, Disembowel, Stab, Sideswipe, Blow, Boot Dagger, Skewer, Dispatch, Elude, Thrust, Restrain, Assault, Double Up, Hideaway, Skewer...and just keep it rockin til that mob is dead...aggro might happen, but our tank rocks, so I dont worry much.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If that with master poison doesnt break 1k....I dont know what to tell ya!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P>Get Dirk of Negativity (drops on a shadowy presance in halls of seeing), Grinning Dirk of Horror (drops on essance of fear in lyceum), and 8 points into the STR crits and 8 points into Avast Ye, this is the best DW damage setup. Also, if you tradeskill get the Wurmslayer and switch it for dirk of negativity when fighting draconic enemies (I think Dragons, Drakota, Drakes, Droags, and Wurms count as draconic). Your armor dosn't matter a lot when DPSing unless you have melee procs on it, as long as you have 510 STR you should be good enough on armor to be doing at least 1k dps. All adept 3/master CAs are also totally nessicary for doing good DPS, only ones you can skip on are Vaunt and the snares imo (I use the splitpaw snare personally, the chance for a root is better than the extra 2 or 3% the normal one has). Rare poison is also a must, on long fights you can use mental breach because keeping up the debuffs for the other 23 in the raid is probably more important than your DPS, but on most fights use a caustic.</P> <P>Also, you might want to try to get that one nice BP from RoV that has a 30 second effect 50% proc on it, I don't have one myself but I know a lot of scouts that swear by it for pure burn fights.</P><p>Message Edited by The-Fourm-Pirate on <span class=date_text>09-01-2006</span> <span class=time_text>12:35 PM</span>
