If you always group with certain players, whom you know keep aggro off of you very well, Stats>Mit. Vice versa follows true too if with pick up groups and such forth. Why risk dying to the hands of a nub tank? Change out pieces to suit your/thier aggro management skills.

If you solo, chain is the obvious choice. Avoidance means practically nothing to this class, as we have fewer hit points and avoidance than a Brawler. Basically, we are whats for dinner if your in anything less than chain.

Higher levels, 50+, chain is your best friend. Namely because stats are identical, in crafted armor types. You can also reach the stat caps fairly easily on our main focuses ( imo, Str, Agil, Sta ). So whats left to worry about? Mitigation and Int.

Resist gear/armor are only useful when soloing/tanking, always wise to have a set on hand imo.

Feysteel chain has the best stats, but the Emerald Hide Plate is a beautiful set of green leather, decent stats that should be on the broker. My favorite suit of armor in the game.

Really? I've never really liked that armor look personally. Ah well...to each their own. :smileyhappy:

I have always been a chain person myself. I can see using leather early on since the rares are sooo dirt cheap compared to Steel and Feysteel clusters, but the beating you'll get will be worse. It'll get worse as you level up.

Very good point for rare leather. In T4 you can outfit yourself in full rare leather with very good stats (except for mit) for the price of one Feysteel.

I love the textures and shading in the Emerald Hide Plate, but I am a big fan of scouts in green armor from EQ.
