<div></div><div>Hello, I just reached level 35 and I would like some info about the skills Thirsting Veil and Ruthless Cunning. (I did a search and there were no results.)</div><div> </div><div>1.) Which adventure pack do these 2 skills come from?</div><div> </div><div>2.) Is it necessary to buy the adventure pack(s) to get these skills?</div><div> </div><div>3.) If not, are the skills drops, craftables, or both?</div><div> </div><div>4.) Do the effects scale upward with your level, or do they have fixed effects based only on the rank of the skill? Do these skills have any noticable effect *at all* at higher levels?</div><div> </div><div>5.) The Thirsting Veil skill says in its description that it has a chance to work against "vampire" opponents, but in the details below that it simply says that it has a 10% chance to deal damage to the target and heal the caster-- there is no "if target is Vampire." So which one is it? Is Thirsting Veil only usable against Vampires, or can it be used against all targets?</div><div> </div><div>6.) If so, do vampires only exist in the Bloodline Chronicles dungeons?</div><p>Message Edited by Grim001 on <span class="date_text">03-26-2006</span><span class="time_text">01:16 AM</span></p><p>Message Edited by Grim001 on <span class="date_text">03-26-2006</span><span class="time_text">01:17 AM</span></p>

<div></div>Veil only works on vampires and is nearly useless except for one raid that has about 2 or 3 vampire mobs in it. Ruthless cunning can be bought on the broker usually.

<div></div><div></div><div>I'm sure Lek's is sighing because the sticky thread above, that he has worked so dilligently on, was ignored for the easy question. :smileywink: That table, that he has spent hours working on, would give you all the information on every CA we have in a screen shot of it in scribed form - so it's true to character stat display.</div><div> </div><div>Now that I've tried to make him feel better, yes Ruthless Cunning is worth getting at Adept 3. Go find an Opal or Ruthenium and have a jeweler whip you one up. If you fight any raid type encounters, it will be well worth the cost. Useful for large heroic encounters as well. It is one quality forever, but by what it does, it doesn't need to be upgraded.</div><p>As for Thirsting Veil, I had forgotten I even have it. lol It's really not much use except for a couple encounters in a quest or two and a few raid mobs. Truth be told, I haven't even put it back on the spell bar for those encounters because I have enough CAs to use.</p><p>Message Edited by Kegofbud on <span class="date_text">03-28-2006</span><span class="time_text">07:20 AM</span></p>

<div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div>Did I ask, "What do these skills do? What level are they available?" Those are the only questions that the table and screenshots can provide the answers to. I also performed several searches to look for the answers to these questions, and they were not available. That is why I made a thread. You should check to see if the answers are really available before you make such an assumption. <div></div><div></div><div>Oh, I wasn't being rude. You are being really defensive though. The answers to what you're asking are there though, if you take the time to read through the information and u nderstand the tables. Also, if I was being rude, you'd know it. I am not shy about it. :smileywink:</div><div> </div><div>Another piece of advice for you: In the future, if you'd ever like to have any class question answered in here again, I'd probably resist the urge to post like your last one.</div><div> </div><div>The answers to some of 4 and maybe 5 I can see you having problems getting an exact answers for. If you really read the tables though, you could've answered the others yourself. So, those 2 questions are the only ones you really needed clarification on. That's where I'd bet your sigh came from.</div><p><span class="time_text"></span> </p><p>Message Edited by Kegofbud on <span class="date_text">03-28-2006</span><span class="time_text">07:40 AM</span></p>

<div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div>You're being more than a little rude, and furthermore, you're wrong. I'm going to prove to you that none of the answers to my questions were on that table. Open up the table and tab back and forth to check if you need to. http://the.rogue.online.fr/<div>1.) Which adventure pack do these 2 skills come from? Next to the skills I was referring to, if you look, you will see a small 1 indicating a footnote. Scrolling down to the bottom, it says "<span class="small">gained throught Bloodlines Adventure Pack quests.</span>" (sic). Also take note that this small 1 is next to three different skills: Trick of the Hunter, Ruthless Cunning, and Thirsting Veil. Although the footnote says that they all come from the Bloodlines pack, I knew that, in fact, Trick of the Hunter comes from Splitpaw. This footnote was either wrong, or not being specific about which pack they come from. Next, do a search on both of these skills and see what kind of results you get on them. If you can find any threads that show which packs they come from, link to them.</div><div> </div><div>2.) Is it necessary to buy the adventure pack(s) to get these skills? Nowhere does the table mention whether the expansion pack must actually be owned in order to learn these skills. There was no search result that answered this question either.</div><div> </div><div>3.) If not, are the skills drops, craftables, or both? Nowhere on the table does it mention anything about whether any skills are droppable or craftable. I thought that, perhaps, the skills could be a quest reward, and there was no search result that could answer this question for me.</div><div> </div><div>4.) Do the effects scale upward with your level, or do they have fixed effects based only on the rank of the skill? Do these skills have any noticable effect *at all* at higher levels? The pictures show that the skill becomes stronger with higher ranks, but they do not show how a skill scales based on level of the user.</div><div> </div><div>5.) The Thirsting Veil skill says in its description that it has a chance to work against "vampire" opponents, but in the details below that it simply says that it has a 10% chance to deal damage to the target and heal the caster-- there is no "if target is Vampire." So which one is it? Is Thirsting Veil only usable against Vampires, or can it be used against all targets? Yes, I looked at the information that was available on the table and I wanted a clarification of it. Most skills that are restricted to specific targets have an "if target is x" line in the effects of the ability. In a search, the only mention of Thirsting Veil on the entire forums was some old ranger thread.</div><div> </div><div>6.) If so, do vampires only exist in the Bloodline Chronicles dungeons? I did a search on vampires but none of the threads that were returned mentioned whether vampires can be found outside of of the Bloodlines area. I'd also like you to explain why you would imagine that a brigand skill table would contain an answer to something that isn't even related to Brigand skills.</div><div></div><p>Message Edited by Grim001 on <span class="date_text">03-28-2006</span><span class="time_text">08:37 AM</span></p>

Calm down guys, I *sighed* that's all.Why ?Cause I'm an old dirty kill-joy. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />And I always prefer someone that send me feedback on the site in order I keep it precise, clear and up-to-date instead of passing by and just opening a new thread.I try to do my best for the Brig Community, that's all, and sometimes I'm dreaming every other fellow brigand will.Btw :1) Trick of the Hunter : Splitpaw, you must have some faction work to buy it from npc in Den Ruthless Cunning : Bloodlines : crafted : crafter may/must (?) have faction to buy crafting book from npc Thirsting Veil : Bloodlines : gained through a quest, it's a reward, check Ogaming, don't remember2) Yes for Trick & Veil, no for Cunning3) see 1)4) Only R.Cunning is usefull. Scales with level. Trick is fluff, better use the Mitig.Cold Debuff from common Snare line imho.5) Only Vampires.Ok, now, ... <i>"Everybody be cool. You, be cool."</i> as Seth told. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

<div></div><div></div>I guess the table speaks louder to me. I guess if you don't know the skills, they can be less intuitive. The way you read it, is not the way I read it, since I can assume some things about it that you can't. I'll give you that much, but trust me on the rude bit. <p>Message Edited by Kegofbud on <span class="date_text">03-28-2006</span><span class="time_text">10:16 AM</span></p>

I did not mean any offense to you DaLurker, you were not the one being rude.I think what you are saying, Keg, is that because you happen to already know the answers to these questions, you are able to imagine that they exist in places that they don't.<div></div>

I suppose I must accept that you are able to divine meanings from this Chart of Ultimate Knowledge that are not apparent to lesser beings who must rely on such primitive methods as "reading." You are able to see <i>beyond the chart</i> to comprehend things that are not visible to mere mortals.<div></div>
ok, so which is better, Brigand or Swash?<div></div>

Does trick of the hunter run on the same timer as one of the brigands snares? Or does it run on a seperate timer? If it ran on a seperate timer, that makes for an extra snare that is always useful, especially if your others are on cooldown.<div></div>
