Are the debuffing poisons playermade only, or are they hiding somewhere on a vendor. If they are playermade only, does it just make sense for myself to become an alchem? ( i have no tskill plans atm )

I've never seen a debuff sold from city vendor, but I may have never looked in the right spot.

Anyhow I think you will benefit greatly from becoming an alchemist if you are making poisons at the tier your are in or higher. I'm not sure what level you are but it may not do you any good if you are 30+ adv and only lvl 3 artisan, unless you are going to seriously grind away at it. The player made T5 poisons I use I am very pleased with (Turbulent Misery-poison debuff or Whispers of Heartlessness-slashing+magic debuff). I also group with a warlock often and have had success with the cold debuff.

Hope this helps.

debuff poisons are player made only and are very useful, actually they make my heart break atm because the alchies on our server are competing with pricing, but in the wrong direction

Debuff are only player-made. Well worth it (but I've not parsed to determine effectiveness). There are 3 basic ones that I like to use as a Brigand, and I'll list the ingredient required (easier to convince an alchemist to make them if you have the raws):Poison/Disease: available at all levelsT1 - Snakeroot (Mystical Influence)T2 - Sycamore (Altered Immunity)T3 - Plantain (Unpleasant Savagery)T4 - Bitter Nutmeg (Frantic Petulance)T5 - Lacquer (Turbulent Misery)Magic/Slashing: Only available at T2 and T5T2 - Field Maple (Agonizing Invulnerability)T5 - Peppertree (Whispers of Heartlessness)crushing/Piercing: Only available in T1/T3, may be bugged(?)T1 - Milkweed (Untimely Concussion)T3 - Wild Leek (Retribution of the Sky)There are almost a dozen other debuff poisons, but half of them require rare glass (using rare loam obtained when making rare inks). To make the T4 ones, you'll need to be a level 33-35 alchemist, to make the T5 ones you'll need to be 43-45 alchemist. I always use the poison/disease debuff when soloing, but will probably switch over to magic/slashing once I hit T5. The magic/slashing is more group-friendly (as long as your melee are using slashing weapons).

Yes alchemy is a sweet thing for Brigs. Heal potions, debuffs, damage shield, agility buffs, poisons.... too bad we only have 2 activation slots.... I need more :smileysad:

A bit of an aside, but has anyone had the T5 rare debuff that stifles (can't remember name - psychotic resistance maybe?) and only has 4 procs, land on an epic? I've had it proc - but never seen it actually stifle the mob, and haven't noticed any messages in chat box. Tried on darathar, niscalanth, venekor (resistant but not immune poison), the mg x2 drakota, arch lich. Anyone know for certain that they've had it actually work?

Here's a good link for comprehensive potion/poison info, including debuff and utility poisons.. Although it hasn't been update with the proper numbers since Frizznik made changes to the damage of the player made ones, still you can use it to compare what type they are. EQ2 Potions & Poisons

I've had it proc - but never seen it actually stifle the mob, and haven't noticed any messages in chat box.

Still trying to figure this out myself. There is no 'immune' text when it procs yet I never see if the stifle works. I haven't found any other information on the forums or thrid party sites that indicate if this poison works correctly or not.
